FOMO is here, or rather an 'orgy' of dummies: Silbert's eth stock tracker commenced trading at 1343% of NAV.
This must be a record. In other words: someone is paying 13.43X the underlying crypto.
Insanity...and kills my hopes for the bitcoin ETF. I am not paying anything above NAV.

UPDATE: The just-released FATF guidance also directs countries to crack down on crypto mixers and make sure they can freeze funds of sanctioned users.

I just ckecked and it turns out that I'm also going to die some day sheeeeit

I've no idea on the intentions of the message, he sent it to multiple people in this thread.  However such logic 'Momento Mori' or remember you are mortal; this goes back to the days of Marcus Aurelius in the Roman empire.    It was considered well balanced and stoic to be aware of your own mortality.      With the basic medicine in those days, Iam surprised they needed any reminder time is short but I guess they were conquering the world creating empires and could get ahead of themselves.   Dust to dust and all that

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memento_mori
https://www.wealthmanagement.com/commentary/memento-mori-ancient-roman-cure-overconfidence

I always like to the mention the natural market cycle of emperors and empire discussed in this lecture and also in mp3  https://mises.org/library/inflation-and-fall-roman-empire

Price rests right before the summit of a nice round number, in Dollars at least.   I got zero belief in flat zeros as important but it could be a short term top just from the convenience of people typing in limit orders I guess.   roughly  top side target 10493 for me.  10722 I think is 2017 December post top low.  11793 I see a better collection of repeated daily low and a daily double top in March 2018

@V8

English team chocked one more time against Sr Lankan team. Upcoming matches going to be tough for them, as they are up against Oz, Indians and kiwis and they need to to win every single match if they want to qualify for semis, otherwise bye bye world cup.

LOL, first Pakistan now Sri Lanka. The English team will probably lose against Aussies and Indians as well... Oops, will it be a game-over from the world cup for a team which was going to take up the cup, if they lose a couple of more matches? Grin
Just enjoy the upset :p

I think Libra will be the most convenient stablecoin. With a BTC/Libra pair, you can easily use your BTC trading profits to order a taxi with uber/lyft, renew your Spotify subscription or book a hotel on booking.com. There is no need to sell your BTC for usd/euro and then withdraw from exchange to your bank account which takes what? 2-3 business days?

Libra is what all those shitcoins/tokens have tried to accomplish for 2-3 years now by making a crypto card that allows you to easily spent your crypto on goods and services. If it works well and is convenient to use it will make the lives of Bitcoiners easier, if you are willing to sacrifice some of your privacy.

...and only the Millennials, GenZ'ers, and other clueless pleebs will be willing.

Zuckerberg, is that you?

Exactly, the generations that are going to drive crypto adoption.

Some folks are very confident that it crashes after it goes over 10k and selling their coins. Risky risky...

We are defying the laws of physics here.  Not a meaningful pullback since $4k.

Am starting to think we will cut through $10k like a hot knife through butter.

Edit:  actually the pullback from $8k to $6k was decent

BTC is pumping fast.

Too fast Cheesy

I think there is a significative chance to have a pull-back within a couple of weeks.

Mr. Obvious...... Tell us something that we do not know.

There is always a decent chance for BTC to experience a pull-back, whether in a couple of weeks or otherwise.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I think there is a significative chance to have a pull-back within a couple of weeks.

That’s fine and may well happen. But don’t short it. We have moved from a baby bull market to a toddler bull market

Toddlers have not developed higher cognitive functions and so are prone to irrational fits of rage.

We appear to be heading north again this fine morning.
After all, it makes sense, so I am still hodling Wink

I am very curious to see when this bull trend will stop or implode, anyway... comparing it to the beginning of the year, the price is not stationary anymore.

The 2020 will be a hot year.

You seem to be limiting yourself too much in a kind of framework, which causes you to think that bitcoin has to behave a certain way in order for bitcoin to fit your way of thinking.. but maybe bitcoin is something that is a bit different than you think?  Maybe s-curve exponential growth does not require bitcoin prices to go down before they go up?

Anybody have a slight feeling we’re pumping too much, too fast? I think we’ll touch $10,000 but it wouldn’t surprise me if we corrected to $7,500 ish.

Yes but I think more like around 8700. It has to be go down. Then a few weeks later we go easy through 10k. Just like 9k took some time. Pure speculation. I am hodling. So this is no advice to sell. It could also go to 15k and never come back.

What happened to you?

Weren't you always posting gobbledy gook and difficult to decipher messages?

Did you buy your account? or are you going to revert to gobbledy-gook posts in the future?
