Trigger Warning: Businesswire https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20200811005331/en/MicroStrategy-Adopts-Bitcoin-Primary-Treasury-Reserve-AssetTYSONS CORNER, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MicroStrategy® Incorporated (Nasdaq: MSTR), the largest independent publicly-traded business intelligence company, today announced that it has purchased 21,454 bitcoins at an aggregate purchase price of $250 million, inclusive of fees and expenses. The purchase of Bitcoin cryptocurrency was made pursuant to the two-pronged capital allocation strategy previously announced by the company when it released its second quarter 2020 financial results on July 28, 2020.
<snip>
Seriously tho, how the fk is this company still around? And how do they have $250M in cash just laying around? MicroStrategy had a huge stock run-up during the Dot Com bubble, but crashed massively thereafter and should have gone completely bankrupt. How they survived when so many other dot coms got wiped out is completely beyond me. According to wikipedia it is even the company that caused the dot com bubble to burst. However it had at least a viable business model and was earning money, that's why it survived. I guess some clients like their product, although they're tiny compared to their competitors. Highly paid executives need to rely on such software to justify their salary and secure their position, if they make a wrong decision they can blame the software...

Observing 9999€.
get the fuck out, retard. EDIT: hmm, a Frenchman. explains a lot! Did the 4 digits number make your brain explode, causing your eyes to do this ? I trade in euros, my salary is in euros, my groceries are bought in euros... One day this thread will not make sense anymore as BTC will be the reference, but meanwhile, I don't see why the dollar should be it, especially when it's losing value and credibility. Looking at an eurodollar chart is quite telling.

Wife update: First day without constantly "mounted" neck support, off the opioids and on mild dose of ibuprofen. Good development. Luckily, the local physiotherapist had a client that cancelled treatment, so she will be getting therapy way sooner than expected. On the safety belt issue: In my country safety belts and their usage are mandatory, to be precise even if you only start ignition ("operate the vehicle" - as expressed by the law). So if you happen to be in an accident without having the belt on, insurances will also pay you NIL. Side note: When my mother was pregnant with me, a truck crashed sideways into my partents car, pushing my mum out of the car, including the door. My father (driver) found himself on her seat after the crash. Which happened in France, by the way, when the use of seat belts were not even mandatory back then. Would they have worn the belts, they likely wouldn't be no more (and me neither). Well, daddy isn't alive anymore anyway, but that's a different story. Statistically a seat belt is not always saving lives, but still more often than not. #hodlstrong EDIT: No harassment of France and french(wo)men intended! Best wishes to your wife. Vehicle safety is a complex subject, in an old, overall unsafe car, seatbelts might sometimes be a bad thing, but nowadays, I doubt it's the case except in very rare freak accidents when not wearing one might have helped. There was an accident the other day on a French highway (A7) that made the news for several days in a row, a Renault Scenic MPV with 3 adults and 6 kids on board (it has only 7 seats and seatbelts...). The engine blew up and the driver, while trying to stop on the side of the road, sent it into a field, where it rolled before catching fire (that's a diesel engined car so not easy to put on fire usually). 5 kids died... Biodom : I have Italian family, it used to be fun to hear adults talking about real estate in billions of Liras...

11169$ It was 11949 less than 24 hours ago. There will be some support at some point, where do you think ? 10500 ? I feel 12k is the new 10k, we can't break it, it's positive, we are still relatively high ! Too early to call it. We have barely even tried to break above $12k.. . Sure a bit of floating around in that price area, but still.. hardly can know, currently, and based on a bit of dabbling around in that price area, whether $12k is going to be any kind of meaningful and/or significant resistance. .... What a complete clown you are.
you are exactly half way through a bear market as you well know. You spend your life on this thread trying to convince noobs you know what you are talking about when you're a shill.
sub 2k is inevitable. but you know this and if you don't, you're a moron. So what is it ? a shill or a moron? I concede there is a high chance you're both.
...snipped ... clowns , etc...
Looks like that jonoiv character went fishing and hauled in his favorite target... the famous wob wordy manMe and jonoiv, we go way back.. we are besties, kind of like this: Does anyone actually like this Kamala Harris? Not the libs, not the right, so ...?
Kamala Harris is the toughest prosecutor in the US. Half the population of people in jail have her to thank for it. Democrats love police that are tough on crime. Yes, but... I have quite a few Democrat acquaintances, and some former ones, who initially liked and voted for Obama because he was a well-spoken former lawyer, only to become disenchanted with him later on. They thought he ended up being nothing more than a silver-tongued "Slick Willy" who spoke really eloquently, but ultimately just said a bunch of gibberish nonsense that sounded good to the public, and never really followed through on many of his promises. That's a lawyer for you. I doubt that she would be any different as VP. Although, what do VPs do anyway?"what do VPs do anyway?" They become Ps, if the P dies.

Become President when their (former)boss is deemed incapacitated? edit: I see wordyperson beat me to the punch. Then again, JJG's assertion omits a salient fact. Namely, the 25th Amendment. Some are already floating the idea that Biden has undergone a recent massive cognitive decline, and that should he become POTUS, the possibility of such a step being required may not be so unthinkable. Then again, others are also floating the idea that Biden's impending noshow at the upcoming Democratic National Convention is likely due to such decline, which may require the assembly to advance some other candidate altogether. Don't shoot me - I'm just the popcorn deliveryguy.

SARS-CoV-2 AIRBORNE virus ... confirmed. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/news/article.cfm?c_id=2&objectid=12355909 Sceptics of the notion that the coronavirus spreads through the air — including many expert advisers to the World Health Organisation — have held out for one missing piece of evidence: proof that floating respiratory droplets called aerosols contain live virus and not just fragments of genetic material.
Now a team of virologists and aerosol scientists has produced exactly that: confirmation of infectious virus in the air.
"This is what people have been clamouring for," said Linsey Marr, an expert in airborne spread of viruses who was not involved in the work. "It's unambiguous evidence that there is infectious virus in aerosols.
... Lednicky has received emails and phone calls from researchers worldwide asking about that finding. He said he would check his numbers again to be sure.
But ultimately, he added, the exact figures may not matter. "We can grow the virus from air — I think that should be the important take-home lesson," he said." ... also for the doubters, brain and heart injuries now becoming more widespread as longer term effects become known, myocarditis, depression/mental illnesses to name a few. Chinese military virus just about for sure.

Become President when their (former)boss is deemed incapacitated? It is crazy that dems are now "balancing" the ticket instead of going for a best candidate. I could be wrong, though, since I first thought that Obama did not have the chance. However, Columbia Uni and Harvard law school is not the same as Howard Uni and Hastings college of the law. Whatever. EDIT: Somehow I thought about fictional president Elizabeth Keane in "Homeland". That character also completely lacked foreign policy experience.

Essentially, while stealing the profound insights of purported wordy man in your earlier post, you subsequently are proclaiming that such purported wordy man was not wordily enough for your likenings; therefore you stole purported wordy man's profound insights and you added more words to your post to explain such observations of yours. I'm starting to feel like this in trying my best to follow your logic.

Excellent! Simple, cheap & small (unlike CryptoSteel), durable, and the seed words are not in plain sight unless you unscrew it. Make sure you use stainless steel to avoid (mind)rust. For those who don't know/understand how it's done, you just punch or permanently engrave/etch the first 4 letters (no need for more) of each of the seed words on each of the washers, lock them tightly in the screw with the wing nut, store it somewhere safe, all done! Very important warning: when punching the 4 letters of each word on each of the washers, make sure you also punch the seed index of each word/washer (i.e., its order position in the seed). If you don't, and you just rely on the washers being arranged in proper order in the screw, you may mess things up if you or someone else unscrews it and the washers fall off. If the order is lost, the seed is also effectively lost.
