Shitcoin scammers have figured out that you don't even need a plausible premise or plan to operate in the black. Just a shitcoin, a one-page mission statement and begin the FOMO pumping. The daytards will come in by the droves, ready to lose it all.

If only the noobs would see bitcoin for what it is destined to be, the new global reserve currency, then they wouldn't think that BTC was "too expensive" and find that their ROI would be just as good, if not better, than the yield on these shitcoins WITHOUT all the risk.

Some people write down their seed altering the order in a known way (by them) so that they can recover the seed easily but, in case someone gets access to the list, they would not be able... at least so easily.

Even some people here (not gonna give names) mentioned doing so or a variant of it.

It is now clear it is probably not the best of ideas anymore...

I saved my seed to notepad on my pc then backed it up by uploading it to the google cloud and naming the file "24 word seed for my bitcoin stash"
Then I protect the account with  a 5 character password.
So far its not been hacked.
I love playing with fire man....

No seriously, my seed has been encrypted with the latest and greatest NSA encryption software
and then the encrypted file has been saved to a floppy disc (I know ancient tech, but who would suspect?) which has been encrypted
again with the sha 2048 algo 3 more times then I wrapped it up in radar deflecting anti-mag
carbonized fiber and I encased it in concrete. And buried it down by the river. I think I'm good.
Retrieving it? Well that's another story for another time....

It looks like in 1918-1919 it took 3 years to virus-related dip and recovery. We did it in 6 mo in 2020. Unless we re-dip, it seems that we are in about 1922, relatively speaking.
If the "acceleration" factor of about X6 will hold, we will be in 1929-ish scenario in 1.2 years, give or take, so fall of 2021, which is very nicely aligns with the predicted seasonal peak in btc.

You guys got the 12 word seed thing part wrong.

Short version:
12 words is like 128 bits (2048^12 = 2^132)
24 words is like 256 bits

That's total entropy where you have no information about the key, but we're starting from a position where we already know the fragments and just need the order - a grossly reduced search space.

Well doh... seed phrase is supposed to be secure in the first place. It's essentially the private key to all your private keys, or whatever addresses correspond to that seed.
