Slightly off topic: what a lovely wee Christmas pump
But but Hairy said no more pumps this year .... surely not 24k Hahahahaha Thanks dude.... Glad to see some reminders of overly assertive proclamations - especially when those proclamations happen to be against UP and they end up playing out as repeatedly WWWWWWrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooonnnnngggggggg. another reason why we are winning:
the gov and central banks have over the last decades drank their own cool aid when manipulating the CPI in a way it never shows the real inflation. it is a basket of things one might need of stuff that gets cheaper and cheaper to produce. why did they try to make it look as if there is no inflation? obviously their mental framing was something like the french revolution, where bread got so expensive the regular folks started to starve and overthrew the feudal order.
they dont want the general public to see the real inflation. they were successful in finding a way to do this. too successful. the inflation they say does not occur while printing trillions of $ did not go into the CPI basket. it went into assets. valuable assets, scarce assets are getting expensive faster and faster. asset price inflation is here and it is real. central banks and gov thought it would be ok to let the rich "suffer" from asset price inflation since the rich aint gonna take pitchforks and protest/overthrow the order. that is a correct assumption. but what they did not see coming, what no one saw coming was that the rich are not stupid and will just sit there and get value stripped away from them. the rich have an alternative now and it is called bitcoin. they will opt out of fiat to keep their riches.
with preventing inflation for the plebs so successfully the gov and central banks created an incentive structure for the wealthy to leave the fiat game. and the wealthy will always find ways to get their cake and eat it, too.
the pitchforks are no danger. the fiat alternative is.

Hm... I had not thought about it like that, in terms of moving some of the inflationary burden to the rich.. even though it is likely NOT a complete picture either because there has been inadequate investment levels in infrastructure and various things like that that rob from the overall population too and likely disproportionately affect the poor.. but still good angle to juxtapose in there, 600w.

Little shakeout for weak hands, culling the undeserving..
A mania first carries out those that bet against it and then those that bet with it.
~ Jim Rogers Not betting against Bitcoin in the long run, but you gotta know when to move some to fiat because mania top. The big question is when... Well, not yet Long read for the quiet hours during Christmas: Dave Collum's 2020 Year in review part 1Dave Collum's 2020 Year in review part 2You can sit back and relax until the second half of 2021. Then you could start moving coins to exchanges and get ready for the next moon.

Yeah, but in bitcoin terms it is continuing to lose value even if there might have been a short term blip of flat that made it look like it is going up because of dollar value.. but in the end, fuck that shitcoin and the rest of them too, even if they might have short term blips, the longer picture shows them going down against bitcoin and likely to continue .,. which has been being shown in this last run.. probably since bitcoin crossed $20k over a week ago...

Also, it's unreal how many XRP beliebers and pumpers there still are on YouTube. Most are in denial rn. They think that because it's been sold for 7 years that Ripple can't possibly lose this SEC lawsuit.

It might feel nice to treat a shitcoin badly, but as I said before, don't expect to be treated any differently by the populace at large when our time comes (to be under some kind of pressure) and it will come at some time with 99% probability. I don't care to post it, but many attack vectors are theoretically possible and I don't like any of them.
However, I still hold btc since I think that in almost all cases we eventually persevere.

They have a lot of lawyers and guns bro.
So they do as they please.
Sure. They back their "fiat" coin with force and fraud, and we back bitcoin with objective truth and math. I prefer the latter.

Man, where have you been during the 2018-2019 bear? This place was full of trolls "treating bitcoin badly". So, come on it's their time to suffer. Just kidding, it's xmas time of peace and love nobody has to suffer....

Jesus! If we have to persevere long enough to be able to tie the skin of our necks into some sort of makeshift kerchief, I want out now.

An interesting opinion, but conservative numbers (similar to others) for 2021: minimum 75K, most likely 100-300K, 300K-864K not likely, but possible. https://medium.com/coinmonks/halving-cycles-and-the-bitcoin-price-7b95130f74d0One point re all these predictions: almost nobody in Jan 2017 thought that 20K is less than a year away almost nobody in Jan 2019 thought that local top of 14K was a few mo away. nobody in March 2020 was saying that we will be at above 24K in 9 mo or so. Conclusion: in the end, most likely that nobody correctly predicted what would happen in 2021, and that includes planB, albeit he gave such a huge range that could always turn out nominally "right" as he gave 50K, then 100K, then 288K, then said that we might exceed 288k by a factor of 2-2.5-3 at the absolute peak. Therefore, he covered 50K-864K. In lieu of planB later numbers, I would consider anything less than 100K cycle peak as a "miss" on his part and we will have no party, lol. We shall see.
