Btw if you look at the charts, you can clearly see which shitcoin got pumped into from that dump in Bitcoin yesterday.

It'll reverse soon.

No that coin has 1-2 months of up before it tanks.

It certainly will clear 1000

You said it yourself though, miners mining ETH and then trading directly for BTC is a constant headwind for ETH.

Ultimately no one wants to hold that shitcoin long term.

Absolutely.

I mine it because it makes money. I hold it short term on coinbase. And convert it to btc and cash when It shifts up.

This allows me to hodl my btc.

The end of the year is already close, everyone is eager for change, especially considering that BTC has crossed the 20K mark and set several new records. So I thought, why not bring some small but rather significant updates to this thread?

I suggest updating the first post by adding a matrix with the regulars of this hangout.

  • The profiles of the people (below) have been sorted according to their contribution to the development and maintenance of interest in this place.
  • I also excluded from this list inactive people and those who sold their soul to the devil (who worship BCH & shitcoin SV).

p.s. I join in the words of Hhampuz, you guys are fucking cool! [Although, it took me two hours to put together the bbcode that emphasizes your awesomeness]

This is very pretty.  What was the ranking criteria?

I gotta say the ranking order seems pretty decent to me... however it must be emphasizing walls of text, words that rhyme with "selfie", or eye rolling emojis or stock photos a little too highly in my humble opinion.  Just a little, though.

I came back here this year . Stopped posting here years and years ago.

But I believed we were going to uptick and this is the best thread to ride when btc is hot.

I am thankful I made the list. Hats off to the op

Got filled @ $26,000

I might put one in at either 23K or 20K, or both.
28k to 26k is a smallish dip.

The replies are a clear indication that a lot of folks are still stuck on aging (crumbling?) concepts of thought.

Thanks for all the merits and positive feedback on my take on Hairy's helicopter coloring contest.

I made a new one, inspired by the recent events related to Ripple.

Has the helicopter just become 2021's rocket?!?

Well that was fun... Shut down my Synology NAS today to do some electrical work around the house. Powered it back on and was greeted with a flashing blue power light and not much else. Turns out the NAS itself has shat the bed and not the hard drives; common issue with the DS415+ apparently (not that that helps me much)

So now I've got to buy another NAS tomorrow and HOPE that my 24GB of data isn't all fucking gone when I plug the disks into the new NAS. If it is gone it isn't the end of the world (mostly TV shows and movies on it) but I've spent years collecting it all.

I know it's off topic but just had to rant. Told my wife and she wasn't too interested Cheesy Cheesy

On topic however... these last two days have been good consolidation I think. Things were getting a bit too heated, nice to catch our breaths a bit before the next leg up.

Hope everyone has a better day than I

Well that was fun... Shut down my Synology NAS [...]
In case that fails, on first sight they seem to use pretty standard partition and raid formats and you should be able to recover the data from just the drives. ( for example https://www.synology.com/en-us/knowledgebase/DSM/tutorial/Storage/How_can_I_recover_data_from_my_DiskStation_using_a_PC )

edit: does "the NAS itself" exclude the powersupply? if not sure, you could try your old NAS+drives with the new powersupply, if compattible.
