Las Vegas luxury auto dealership rakes in Bitcoin payments
A luxury auto dealership in Nevada has reported a steady increase in Bitcoin (BTC) payments, a testament to the bull market currently underway as more investors convert their holdings into high-end sports cars.

Vegas Auto Gallery, whose inventory includes makes and models from Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari and Lamborghini, recently sold two high-end sports cars to customers who paid more than $6 million in BTC. As the Wall Street Journal reports, owner Nick Dossa says that roughly 3% to 5% of the dealership’s revenue comes from Bitcoin transactions.

you just know they have a couple robots there that have these terminator Heads/eyes - just to freak out the visitors when appropriate.   Must be fun to work there.   Too bad they sold to another country.  I wish they would remain in the US.

My daily casual BTC reading found four interesting & positive stories about Bitcoin.  Lookin' good, friends:

NFL player wants half his pay in BTC:  https://www.coindesk.com/panthers-russell-okung-becomes-first-nfl-player-to-be-paid-in-bitcoin

Taproot upgrade moving right along:  https://www.coindesk.com/all-major-mining-pools-support-taproot-bitcoin-upgrade

VEGAS car dealer rakin' it in...:  https://cointelegraph.com/news/las-vegas-luxury-auto-dealership-rakes-in-bitcoin-payments

Dribbling out my BTC may not be a bad idea (TL;DR, price goes up):  https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-liquidity-crisis-btc-is-becoming-harder-to-buy-on-exchanges-data-shows

Many of you already know I am always looking for the Exit sign.  Once I know I can get out, it makes me want to stay in.  Gold, Bearing and BTC Guy likes to do things in a way I can understand and feel confident about.  I have no interest in lambos or coke (as I suspect that some poseurs may claim they are, hah..), nor do I need to get rich as I have (just!) enough.  Still, in these toxic times, having a little more wealth cannot hurt.

And you W.O. members have educated me a lot, NONE of my friends nor family are into BTC at all.  You all have made a difference, BTC has done me well, and YOU were there to guide me.

Nice they are following Norway's move.

But they didn't actively buy btc, did they? If I recall correctly, The Norway Oil Fund owns some shares of MicroStrategy, which indirectly makes them exposed to btc.

That's what I said. Put an "innocent bystander" (e.g., a harmless pregnant woman) on the front and attack from the back. Robot can't react.

I don't get it, why should a robot not defend itself against a pregnant woman?
First law. Women are humans too.

And the innocent fetus could be counted too, depending on point of view, advancement of pregnancy, and other parameters. Let's not go there now.

Do you mean that the robot defending itself also by default means harming a human?
In the scenario I was dreaming up the robot just stops the thug without harming him more than needed to protect others and himself.

One more interesting news item.  Just popped up over at Zero Hedge:

https://www.zerohedge.com/crypto/cryptos-reverse-minsky-moment

"Reverse Minsky Moment" ??  First time I've heard that term.  That's a White Swan for us I suppose.

Boom!

Cool, thanks for the link.

Oh, they are shareholders of Square too. Nice.

The Norwegian Oil fund has over $1.2 trillion in assets. Their exposure to btc is still only like a drop in the ocean though.

I think that fourth law that R Daneel came up with all by himself (protect humanity) is a bit too PC for my taste but it works well in the books.

I have to reread those books. Isn't R Daneel the emperors gardener or something on Trantor?

the zeroth law? it did work out in the series.

cant remember if R Daneel was the gardener though, thought he was an adviser of some sort.

time to re read some stuff. got a bit of a backlog right now.

Didn't he have some kind of mental power to nudge people in (what he perceived as) the right direction for humanity?

Or am I confusing that with some other books?
