Yes, each post on WO is another dollar in the pocket from each bitcoin HODLed.
Not really. I sympathize with your enthusiasm, but it takes a whole page of posts to make one dollar. Each post is worth a paltry 5 cents per bitcoin. Getting to 650k pages is going to be a titanic piece of work. Post, brothers, post! Maybe we should ask theymos to change the way this thread is displayed so instead of needing 20 posts for a new page we need 10 or 5, it will make reading the thread harder but if it increases the price of bitcoin, why not? I'm just grateful he disabled the "show all posts on one page" option. Imagine clicking that by accident.

Nope the goal is to forget about page parity. I believe post parity will happen far sooner than any expects it will.

See the price dropping. Moved some FedBux into Gemini and placed a dip order for $250 @ $28,000. Let's see what happens.
Huh. Order got filled. Feeling sassy and placing another degenerate dip order for $250 @ $28,250 and see if I get filled again. I like getting filled with dip.
a wild bore

fuck this Covid news, i hope 2021 will be Covid (news) free
Sorry, but it's here to stay. I ain't happy about it either. One day it will degrade to a common cold through mutation. Years from now. So it will be all good at some point in the midterm future. I didn't mention EMP, because i didn't know if it's even possible without nucular materials. Once i read about DIY building an EMP from a microwave, but i thought that was a hoax. Also, afaik EMP spread spherical, so you would take out your own electric circuits as well. Certainly have to dig into that topic a little deeper.
https://hackaday.com/2011/03/21/herf-gun-zaps-more-than-your-dinner/Yeah, this one. Didn't try it out (yet), but i think it's the baby version of a nucular EMP. I guess the virus will be defeated by a vaccine first because herd immunity will be reached... it will then disappear as SARS or MERS... So far, the vaccines don't work like that. They don't prevent infection and spreading, they prevent covid outbreak or, at least, lessen covid symptom severity. Classic, antibody-based vaccines would not be as effective, because the virus would mutate and the specific antibodies won't recognize the "new" virus. It's the same with the flu. We would have established herd immunity against the flu a long time ago, otherwise. Covid is the new flu, just up to three times as deadly plus complicated aftermath, in part of the cases. It's not known yet, who or why will suffer from severe symptoms and who and why will go through cov2 infection without symptoms, and if it will be different the next time the same individual will get infected by a mutated variant. Too many puzzles to solve. Science & research saying: Please stand by... What on earth is that thing?
I have a feeling that i don't want to know, after we found it out...

EVERYBODY needs to submit comments on the Fincen regulation that's being forced through. The comment period was only 15 days, over Christmas and New Year's. It's a transparent ploy. When this regulation goes into effect you won't be able to withdraw crypto from exchanges the way you used to. It's going to be KYC up the @$$. You will have to lube up and bend over. For any and all crypto withdrawals of any kind, you have to provide name and address of the receiver. The comment period ends January 4. The rule will require banks and money service businesses (“MSBs”) to submit reports, keep records, and verify the identity of customers in relation to transactions involving convertible virtual currency (“CVC”) or digital assets with legal tender status (“legal tender digital assets” or “LTDA”) held in unhosted wallets (as defined below)https://www.regulations.gov/document?D=FINCEN_FRDOC_0001-0121Comment here: https://beta.regulations.gov/commenton/FINCEN-2020-0020-0001Absolutely it is. Comment here: https://beta.regulations.gov/commenton/FINCEN-2020-0020-0001Example comment: "The proposed new rules impose unprecedented financial surveillance on many people like me who are participating in the crypto economy for legitimate purposes. The new requirements also mean that more personal financial information belonging to me and those I transact with will now be collected and retained by the government." Here's a more extensive model comment based on a twitter thread by Jake Chervinsky https://twitter.com/jchervinsky/status/1340135041746300932*First, The proposed rule does nothing to accomplish its stated goals. Even if illicit activity was a major problem (it isn't), this won't stop the flow of funds to bad actors or help law enforcement do its job. The proposed rule doesn't stop VASP customers from transacting with bad guys. It just forces them to pay an extra fee to withdraw to their own wallet first. *The proposed rule doesn't give investigators any new information. VASPs already KYC their customers & keep records of transactions. Today, law enforcement has to subpoena VASPs to get information about customers. VASPs can, should, & often do challenge these. This rule would force VASPs to hand over that information automatically, every time. *Considering the FinCEN Files leak & recent hacks, government hasn't shown that it's using our information effectively or storing it safely. Now isn't the time to expand government's warrantless mass surveillance & data collection operations. *How exactly can a VASP obtain the name & physical address of the owner of a non-custodial wallet? How does someone prove that they "own" a private key? What about non-custodial smart contracts -- who owns them? The rule doesn't say. *Without a clear path to compliance, it'll be left to the discretion of regulators & prosecutors to decide if a VASP's efforts are "good enough." When institutions don't know how to comply, so they "de-risk" by prohibiting the uncertain activity completely. *The rule would impose huge burdens on VASPs, their customers, & society at large, perhaps infringing constitutional rights, without conveying any benefit to government in general or law enforcement in particular.

plenty of options.
An EMP would be the choice, but I like it messy. I always recall the slingshot I had as a kid, whenever I see a drone flying low on a beach. Perhaps the coming summer I'll even buy one and carry it with me. Throwing stones manually at them does not work very well. I'm fed up shoveling show, it's the fourth day in a row now The EMP from a microwave has been debunked. There is a youtube video with a insane guy with an even insaner dialect that tried it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWF-2Z508j8

If the Spanish Flu outbreak of 1918 has taught us anything, we're in for at least another full year of shit before things start getting better.
What on earth is that thing?
TBH, some things are best left to the imagination. I'll just leave it at that, for the sake of everyone keeping the contents of their stomach intact, and not spewing all over their keyboards.

TBH, some things are best left to the imagination. I'll just leave it at that, for the sake of everyone keeping the contents of their stomach intact, and not spewing all over their keyboards. I would look to Russian Flu instead of Spanish Flu, we know the 1918 pandemic was actually a flu, there's a lot of speculation that the 1889 pandemic was not actually a flu but OC43, one of the other 4 coronavirus colds. However, it did last about 3 winters. Most recent common ancestor genetic analysis on OC43 suggests that it came from a Bovine coronvirus and it dates to approximately 1890..... They never did get a sample of that one from the early 1890's - back then everything was the flu or 'La Grippe' as they called it in those days.

Happy new year ! It's midnight here. My plans were scuppered (not because of COVID, but the passing of a family member) so I'm alone drinking a nice bottle of Champagne. Here's to 6 digits for BTC/USD in 2021 !
