Hey WOers!
Have been trying to follow WO in these great times. Price is soaring, what a wonderful start of the year. We all deserve it, as our patience, perseverance and belief, are now being rewarded. 2021 should be a great year for Bitcoin, and we'll be here to celebrate it. No memes, no Carolinas, no CCMF. That should tell us something. Price is just too low for those. Perhaps at $50k or $100k...
The year started badly for me, I've been in bed for the last couple of days. High fever (up to 40 degC), diarrhea, it's fucking torture... Could be a cold, a flu, or COVID-19, I don't know. What I do know, is that I had to go to different places the last couple of weeks and most people I met either did not wear masks properly, or not at all. FUCKS! Measured my fever just now, it's 38 degC. It could mean it's subsiding. I hope so.
Lots of merit-worthy posts out there, you guys are awesome, my phone is next to my bed, trying to catch up. No merits to pass on, but that's no problem I see many of you have taken care of that.
Going back to bed, and hopefully whatever bug or virus I have will clear away soon.
Take care all.
BTW, not selling a fucking sat!
Exactly like our Kindergarten nanny just two weeks before christmas (pcr tested covid19). Mostly diarrhea and high fever, followed by fatigue, but she's well now again. If you have some Vitamin K2 at home, please take it (200mcg/d). Wishing you a fast and complete recovery! Taking a low dose of aspirin might help stop you dying of covid induced blood clots. You can read the arguments for and against it here.
There are well documented health benefits to taking 81mg doses of aspirin daily. Sure you may become more prone to bruising easily, but it's worth the tradeoff IMO. K2 works even better, since it's one of the main Vitamins responsible for blood clotting, also clears arterial plaques (proven in a dutch study).

Wonder what that dude is up to in meatspace. Can't begin to imagine what I would do, were I a Whale-Galaxy like him. Just imagine being a relatively young guy with > $1B in your pocket. Mind blowing. Don't forget high dose Vitamin D and some Zinc. These have been documented as effective for immune system boost. I would also recommend taking Selenium.

Congrats to my fellow WOers on the 30K breach. Now can someone explain to me wtf is going on??
In TA terms we are getting a bit ahead of ourselves. Not dangerously so - currently we are sitting on the target price for late March 2021. So we could easily and comfortably have a 3 month correction at any time. The real question is whether something underlying has changed. We saw the early breakout in the first half of 2019 when we went parabolic out of cycle and peaked out at $13,880 in June 2019. Ultimately that was not sustainable (and culminated in the crash of March 2020) but it showed a baby bull that was surprisingly powerful. Now at the end of 2020 and starting into 2021 we see an adolescent bull that is extremely strong. The key difference between 2017 and 2021 is the start of inflow of institutional money. Like it or not, this is not a retail driven rally. Grayscale has bought more coins than miners can produce over the past 3 months. *This* is the reason for the rally. The flipside is the price is much more vulnerable to regulatory interference. If Grayscale has regulatory problems, the price will be adversely affected. Putting regulatory issues aside, we can ask ourselves - where to from here? We are all passengers on the rocket and I am watching for signs we are breaking upwards away from current models. For example a breakout that would invalidate moon math. At this stage it is far too early to say that something has changed, and right now we are still just a bit frothy which could just end up being a 2019 style overshoot. But there is a clear risk that this could end in a melt up. This is potentially a dangerous time. People on this forum could see, and lose, life changing fortunes. Have a plan motherfuckers and stick to it. If you don’t have a plan now, make one now and write it down and then execute it. Your plan needs to include the possibility that Bitcoin goes beyond levels you have dreamed about - don’t sell yourself short. btc plan or covid plan? or btc plan if you get the other. I am very happy for btc price, but the 'other thing' is spoiling it. Friends are getting sick. Honestly, i cannot even enjoy it. My plan if I get it would be to simplify holdings, I am not selling 's-t' even if it starts bubbling...well, maybe a bit at 50-70K. I would sell some doge, though, if I had it Just image how Loaded feels.

Zinc helps restoring mucosa, which work as an immune barrier. Selenium should only be taken in areas with low selenite levels in the ground, and if you're a vegan. Vitamin D has to be accompanied by magnesium, because it's elevating the calcium blood level and magnesium balances that, and without K2 this calcium can go anywhere. It's also responsible for the right level and speed of blood clotting. If you get bruises easily, it might work for you, and does no harm to the body.

-snip- "Of course you're free to do as you please. Bitcoiners say 'Have fun staying poor' "
Tell her that her fiat wealth is losing value at about -10%/year due to inflation, and tell her to calculate in her head how long it will take for her to be half as poor as she is today. If she can do simple math, it will scare the absolute shit out of her. If she can't do simple math, then she's too much of a simp normie to save herself. She can do simple math. Particularly about inflation she's well aware of the 10+% thing. That's why she keeps looking for some magic bullet stock. That's why I felt I had to at least hint at btc. Some people can't be helped, but there might be hope for her. She's just a bit slow in changing point of view, maybe. Good luck to her.

My wife who battled Covid for 65 days before she cleared the infection did a lot of kneeling downward dog. while I struck her along her back. What a degenerate bitcoiner. You can't stop drawing TA lines approximating your poor wife's back even when she's doing yoga. Seriously, glad she came out of it. Be safe, both of you!

Your plan needs to include the possibility that Bitcoin goes beyond levels you have dreamed about - don’t sell yourself short.
Not a bad idea: I always recommend writing down lines one will not cross when starting a new venture. That way when you get into the thick of it and start having the "normalization of deviance" errors you can look at the paper and decide if really "this time it's different". I got into bitcoin because I saw a system whereby one could receive payments from anyone in the world for services rendered. No local money changers, no real wire fees, chargebacks, days to clear a transaction. I built a little business on this very model and hopefully helped others and the bitcoin ecosystem. I didn't really get into it to turn it all into fiat, my belief was the business would have to pay for itself (thus I paid for supplies and such in fiat cashed coin) with the rest being kind of like the gold in Galt's Gulch. Where similar minded people could trade bitcoins as a proxy for services totally independent of the "real world money". I also liked that no one could fuck with the value by printing more coins or reversing transactions on a whim. This is why I believe Ethereum is poison (that stunt they did with the DAO showed what they really are) and why I still hold some ETC (because although a totally different thing from Bitcoin it's still a neat concept). Never got into it to hide wealth from TPTB or avoid taxes. Taxes are the cost of living in a civilized society and I personally find it to be an excellent investment. Better investment than yet more .50 cal firearms and flamethrowers. Now.... Well if bitcoin becomes regulated to the point where you need to go through a "money transfer broker" to move funds, where private ownership is outlawed, where you get a scrip for dollars and your real bitcoin can be "lent out to increase the supply", where your transactions can be reversed at the whim of a Govt official, then Bitcoin will no longer be what I believed it to be. That's a line I don't think I will cross no matter how much it is "worth" Because at that point it ceases to be a real and objective unit of value and is just more shitty fiat which will be manipulated by TPTB for the "common good". Fuck that.

I remember using one of the first ATMs while I was in Vegas that spat out money for bitcoin. I met another coiner there for lunch and to check it out. Reasonable spread, I think we took out $800, bought lunch at the Burger Bar, then put the rest of the $$$ back in. But it did point out to me why Bitcoin would never work to pay hookers. Waiting 20 minutes for 2 confirmations was a lifetime. Having to stare at a hooker after the fun was over for that long and make small talk would just be hell on earth. That's when I discovered Litecoin. :-)

It's official now That reminds me. Finally Adam gets his $32k.. but the fuck got distracted into BIG-blocker nonsense.. so hopefully he did not sell too many of his bitcoin because of those misguided thinkenings - which I suspect that he did..,. he might be another version of mindrust - in the sense that it seems that he is on the right page for such a long time, and then all of a sudden just falls of the deep end and let's his emotion (and maybe lack of clear thinking) get in the way of making the right choices.
