Golden asteroids bro golden.

This is why they are racing towards Mars

https://www.the-sun.com/lifestyle/tech/261083/giant-golden-asteroid-has-enough-heavy-metals-to-make-everyone-billionaires-and-nasa-is-heading-there-in-2022/

Mars Is nicer than the moon. Actually has wind and an atmosphere.  They will set up a mining base camp there.  Load it up with gold as it is easier and safer to do it there.  This will make gold as common as copper.

If your realize that gold is godlike in its ability to work with electrical systems when compared to lead or copper.  The world will finally be able to have cheap world wide power.

The big issues are how soon will it happen? (10-40 years my guess)
What to do with all the wealth stored in gold? Move it to btc over the next 0-10 years if you have brains.

So I can see 11 trillion gold cap shifting into the 1 trillion btc cap.

All smart forward thinking wealthy mofos see this.

If they are heavy into gold they will be slowly moving it into BTC So BTC now has an easy path to 5x or 10x its current numbers.

buy and hodl
That is definitely coming, I remember watching a documentary once about how humans could terraform Mars and it turns out that one of the first things humans will need to do is to make the atmosphere thicker and in order to do this humans will have to do something in which we are experts, to pollute the air. So unlike earth in which mining companies need to follow regulations so they do not pollute as much on Mars they will be encouraged to pollute.

There are only two big problems, one is how to to make space travel less risky and cheaper and to lower energy costs so it is more efficient to transport material from asteroids or other planets rather than doing it on earth, this will not be easy but I think we are on our way to do so.

With this in mind this means the days of gold as a store of value are coming to an end as an increase in its supply will crash its price, and despite all of this bitcoin will be unaffected as the supply of bitcoin is set in stone and will never increase past its established limit.

I'm sure your new private lake will give you years of enjoyment (is the pic from there?).

Yep. Here are the only man-made things on the whole property:

It'll be our own private nature preserve. Someone else  can save the tropical rain forests. We'll save the eastern forest–boreal transition forest.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_forest%E2%80%93boreal_transition

Edit:

Actually we're already saving the rain forest. We have a hectare of pristine old-growth rain forest in the Maya jungle. No plans to build on it.

Looks great Jimbo, congrats! My family has a 5 acre lake on a prairie, bulldozers dug a hole, pushed it up into a dam to catch runoff. My grandpa dug it in the 1950's, it has a cabin on it. Unfortunately muskrats slowly destroyed the dam, most of it is drained.

In the future, we're talking about cutting the dam/draining it, digging it back out.

I've been thinking about the price tag BTC/$ we are so used to. Instead, why not consider the reverse $/BTC? I mean at some point in the beginning it was 1$ for 1BTC. Year after year, the $ was losing its position to the current 1$ for 0.00002BTC. The pace with wich the $ loses 0's after the decimal separator is ridiculous. Then why some fat neck bansters are still trying to frighten the hodlers that BTC can go to 0? On what grounds - that there were several big corrections on the way, which are not even visible on the chart if we zoom out? Isn't it obvious that the reverse is way more probable - that the $ is going to add many more 0's after the decimal separator in the near future? And if there is any danger, it is for the fiat lovers - yes, it is possible that Bitcoin will dominate one day in such a way, that a (huge) number of 0's would be added in a matter of each hour. Now, that's the clapback to the fat banksters! And they should be frightened, not us the hodlers! Wink

Over the years I've seen guys on YouTube exactly like this. In just a span of a few years, they've been through literally 50+ shitcoins and have never made any money.

Go figure.

Resistance seems to be at 52K. If it can break through that solidly we might have a very positive weekend and rest of March.

Ive been wanting to take time off but I cant until my exit, bounce buy, bounce sell, and re-entry from the crash

You are assuming you will be able to exit at the top.... how?
Trailing stop, or something like that. Right now I keep manually adjusting my stop to important levels I know would not be good to break like right now it is 18500.

Even if I miss it it'll still create huge waves I'll be able to trade and waves in altcoins that I can margin trade regardless of my position.

Lack of Tera2 in this thread is approaching distressing levels. Who will make the topcall within 5% ??

Get it into orbit and use it to tether (and as material for) a space elevator.

Now, space elevators are another topic. We don't have the materials right now but fun stuff like if one collapsed, it would wrap around the world a couple of times (IIRC).

the circumference of earth is 24k miles. a space elevator woiuld need to be up probably 22k-26k miles. i guess it depends if this wrap would follow a circumference line or a smaller one. nice problem to think about. thx.

i love this space talk in WO. before i was born men went to the moon. and everyone expected us to be in space by the year 2000.

fuck, that is two decades ago. i am over 50 now and the most interesting things that happened during my life time regarding the space frontier is elon musk sending a tesla towards mars and a team of female scientists from india successfully sending a probe to mars with a smaller budget than the movie the martian. (well ok, there were the voyager probes and the hubble telescope, too)

in general i feel a bit betrayed regarding human endeavors in space. whatever happened to the future?

and dont come with the "we must first fix all the problems on earth before we can go to space" silly argument. we will never be able to "solve all problems". in fact, entering space age will actually help solving problems.

bitcoiners! let´s go the moon. l i t e r a l l y  !

funding? are you kidding me? if one elwar can fund a cruise ship, then 10 000 bitcoiners can fund a space ship. for fuck sake, we even have elon and richard (branson) already on board!!1!

a nice trade: humanity is handing over all the money to us (already in the making) and we bring humanity in to space. the final frontier.

let´s do it.

i was serious. it could wrap around the earth several times as long as it does not wrap around "straight" at a "equatorial" line. in what fashion would it wrap around? can someone elaborate? would a cable attached to a spinning sphere always wrap around an "equatorial" line? or could it also use other latitudes?

edit: i think you thought i was being sarcastic with the "nice problem to think about.thx" but i wasn´t. sorry for not making that clearer.

the problem that the notoric nay sayers, the bitcoin haters get wrong is that there is the chance of a monetary event of historical weight.  you can dismiss a stock, not believing it would fly. (hello google, amazon, facebook, etc)

you can dismiss an entire "new" technology. (hello tesla)

but since the age of the internet, the entire world is connected. the connected masses may not be satisfied with sending around cat pics and facebook likes forever. they may one day take control of the money and start sending value - p2p, decentralized, safe, secure, unconfiscateable, uncontrollable, not to be fucked around with by any entity.

if you dismiss a historic shift, a once a deca-millennia event, you lose big.

the story has changed from "it is risky to hold bitcoin" to "it is risky to not hold bitcoin"

this is just the beginning.

ACH and swift are baroque centralized text messaging services. bitcoin is a global digital monetary network. game over for fiat.

well 24.5 k miles at equator iirc.

top of elevator could connect to a solar array that is charging gold telsa batteries.

not sure how to stablize the shaft of the elevator the solar array would power a warehouse transfer station.
