Still got thousands of sh!tcoins hanging on my cold wallets and waiting for them to reach parity with bitcoin. ... Or at least some degenerate 10x from what they are now.

But I will buy back after it goes under 45K ... maybe 44K ... maybe 37K / 39K .

If this is f2pool dumping coins like you think, these dumps, that are getting no traction from elsewhere yet, will just be depleting their coins at a fast rate.

I am personally enjoying it. Especially knowing that within a few weeks we will be at all time highs again.

It's not what I think, it's the outflow data from this pool. But you can ignore it. They basically accumulate a huge amout of coins over the years... so yes maybe they run out of coins, maybe they have short positions. We don't know.

But I can be that these dumps did have to do with any oth the 10th of thousend coins they removed from it's pool and someone put them into his garden to see them bloom don't know ... But I know that these amout of money has influence on the market. Especially when they put on the spot market directly.

You may or may not be correct. Personally I prefer if any whales would sell as this will eventually dilute their ability to influence the market in the future.
If you think about it, if F2Pool were to NOT sell their coins and the price was to go up higher then they would have even more influence on the price in the future if they began to dump then.

law of physics did not prevent us from visiting moon, sending probes beyond the solar system, exploring other planets and moons of our solar system. it is purely the lack of funding and lack of awareness that keeps us from building a lunar station, sending astronauts to mars, start building a generational space ship, start building lots of ISS alike stations in orbit.

I won't argue. It was a well deserved break for me. Seeing bitcoin skyrocketing at $58k is something we all dreamed about. My personal target was $50k to have a decent jump and I am glad now it's past. Now I am looking at $100k and these days are very near for us.

all fair. but i suspect that it this kind of reasoning that keeps us from achieving more.  as long as it is for good engineers, scientists, etc why not enlarge those budgets?

for that visions are needed. visions don´t arise from accountants but may be they also arise from wishful thinking and daydreaming.

... it's not so cut and dried as you make out. Costs are based on the wealth of knowledge available. E.g. a SpaceX Starship technology drastically reduces cost to LEO.

... monetary wealth is a claim on resources. But a claim on the technology resources of late 1800 got you a big steamer and a railroad, today it's a Starship ... tomorrow?

... knowledge is the true wealth and ultimate limitation on resources ... economics is not a fact-based science, the only true resource constraint is knowledge ... human grey matter (maybe AI soon?)

... gravity is still a mystery to be solved, it is not what you think it is. When humans are ready, gravity will be solved and knowledge, energetic and technological wealth (and inherent risks) will come from that too. Starship will look like a S. Pacific Islanders paddling canoe when the gravitic technologies arrive.

the circumference of earth is 24k miles. a space elevator woiuld need to be up probably 22k-26k miles. i guess it depends if this wrap would follow a circumference line or a smaller one. nice problem to think about. thx.

Exactly this is just BTC going from weak to strong hands.
Some want out, others want in.

The longer we are at this level, the more will be invested at this level. Incentives to sell will diminish IMO...

I actually calculated how to build a space elevator for fun but it boils down to the following.

Nanofibers aren’t strong enough to bridge the 32000km to geostationary orbit.
The weight of the fiber itself will snap it. Yes taking account the gravity but ignoring weather.
To do it you would need to go from thick(up in space, low grav) to thin(earth) to pull it off.

The smallest configuration with 1mm^2 coming down from space will take approx two full Falcon heavies (largest rocket) with spools of fiber into geostationary orbit. Glueing the fibers in space is hard. Generating the fibers in space might be better.

You need a counterweight to stop it all coming down to earth 

You need anchor it on the equator.

Then you need to do above process a dozen to a few hundred times before you can send any payload or human into space.

Going to geostationary orbit at 100km/hr would take 320hrs so the trip would take 2 weeks going straight up

You need a counterweight to stop it all coming down to earth 

yup, geosync orbit is the midpoint of the elevator. well, more or less. as you say it needs a counterweight further out so it doesnt need to be the actual midpoint. one can go with no real dedicated counterweight, just make the cable twice as long and use the mass of the cable itself thats past geosync as the counterweight.

i believe you can sling stuff off the far end too if its just cable past the geosync point. iirc.

but you know this of course, this is for those who havent looked into it.

Does it mean if you are storing billions in gold you should shift some to BTC? maybe.



Does it mean if you are storing billions in gold stop stacking your gold and start stacking BTC? I would say yes absolutely and at the least stack some of both.

My advice to all you rich ass motherfucking billionaires consider the above in bold and really think about it.
