At one point he commented, “[Bitcoin] has been and could continue to be a catalyst for change in the fields of finance and money.”

Elsewhere, Gensler issued new remarks that shed light on how the SEC may act on the many exchange-traded fund (ETF) proposals now up for review by the agency, signaling that those based on Bitcoin futures may have the highest chance of approval.

“Given these important protections, I look forward to the staff’s review of such filings, particularly if those are limited to these CME-traded bitcoin futures,” he said.

1 XBT = 1 BTC = 1 BTC

I wonder who else is still using XBT symbol for bitcoin. This is Xe Currency Conversion App, I'm using most of the time and noticed they still use XBT and yes bitcoin is the only crypto currency it supports. Smiley

If you don't know XBT is also a symbol for Bitcoin and as per ISO standard 4217 currency code for Bitcoin is XBT.

However BTC is most widely used but it violates ISO 4217 because it begins with BT which is the reserved country code for Bhutan. (Bhutan's currency is Ngultrum and full currency code is BTN)

Bitmex exchange is still using XBT and Kraken exchange has been using XTB symbol for Bitcoin but they switched to BTC as of April 26th, 2021 but in their APIs they still use XBT.

Quote
The abbreviation "XBT" comes from the International Standards Organization (ISO) that maintains a list of internationally recognized currencies. The standard dictates that if a currency is not associated with a particular country, it should begin with an “X”, hence "XBT". Another example of this is the abbreviation for gold, "XAU".

Interesting to note ISO symbols for some precious metals are:

XAU Gold
XAG Silver
XPD Palladium
XPT Platinum

While following the above rule don't forget not all that glitters is gold bitcoin.

XRP Ripple
XLM Stellar
XMR Monero

I personally like BTC but based on "precious metals" theory XBT isn't bad either.

Never selling

I know that Wall Observation is a little off topic  Tongue but there's a sizeable wall at $38k on Stamp just waiting to be pulled down (hopefully) and not too much resistance after that. We all know how quickly walls can get pulled or munched away...

I was just looking at it

Hopefully we have some hungry buyers.

The good thing about sellwalls is that buyers can get their coins without pushing the pricer (and thus buying at higher prices in the process).
These are opportunities that cry for being taken, imo.

And that's why they always get eaten if only on 1 exchnage and not others. The arbitrage oppotunity is massive.

So I've been studying the 1m, 5m & 15m charts all morning, and I'm starting to detect a very clear pattern...

It seems to start in the bottom left hand corner of the screen and moves in a fairly straight line at approximately 45 degrees finishing in the top right hand corner of the screen and is made up of nearly uninterrupted green candles of varying length.

My careful research has led me to the conclusion that we might be in an UPpity trend.

Unfortunately I was never able to claim my BSV before they died.

I went out of my way to try to do it the first day but could find no working wallet.

Much like trying to mine Bitcoin from the wallet back in 2010, I got discouraged and moved on to other things when it didn't work.

TA at its best. With a little math&science of course (the 45 degrees thing was a nice touch).

Clowns. Never mind the peanuts.

I got rid of my bcash lol early on, so no BSV to claim left anyway.

I've been playing around with some shitcoins on ETH doing pooling and "mining" and such and just withdrew one of my shitcoins from the mining pool.

The value of it was $220, withdrawing cost $20 in gas fees leaving me with $200.

To move those shitcoins into ETH it gave an estimate of $10 in gas fees. Not sure what it would then cost to transfer those ETH to an exchange so I could trade them for normal money (BTC).

Would love to see a poll here asking -

Do you think we’ll see another new ATH in 2021?

Yes or No?

I’m just keen to see the sentiment amongst fellow HODLERS.

Yes, absolutely.
