I would decribe myself as bearish.

But I'm pretty sure we will have a bit of panic buying soon.   Roll Eyes

Of course.. fiat is infinite.. BTC is not...

once it is rising again(the real uptrend!) there will be a rush for the door.

if fiat is infinite, and I steal it from you, then I didnt steal anything.

because, you cant steal anything that is infinite.

right???

it is infinite, but only for people in the upper sections of the pyramid Smiley

MPOE is a knowledgeable asshole (let's say "intentionally controversial" if you want the polite version) but as far as I remember, he also proved in the past that BTC price predictions are not his field of expertise.

Who knows what the price was before China's involvement? If you do then you know the low for now.

Well, here is a "pessimistic but bullish" possibility, sort of a worst-case scenario:

That would happen if some entity with a stackload of resources had recently setup a gigantic ASIC farm.

A piece of advice for all you newbies out there. Whether you possess BTC0.001 or BTC1,000; there's only ONE perfect moment which you should sell your BTCs:
NEVER.

Cheers.

Apparently the PBoC note did not define a fim date for blocking deposits to the exchange acconts, so each bank is taking its own time to communicate the decision to the exchanges.  (Earlier I posted a quote from a Chinese article, someone "close to the source" saying that halting the bank transfers is more complicated than halting deposits through payment processors.)

I don't think permabulls are rare here. Just not a lot for us to say during Panic/Capitulation/Despondancy trade cycles. I could post reassuring messages and long term outlooks here all day, that might persuade some people to hold, but really, I'd rather get to the bottom as quick as possible. It's going to happen either way. I expect maximum pain to come before market turns around, and I really haven't felt that yet. I can't really put a $ price on what that would be, but there's no shortage of effort being applied to find out. Perhaps busting below that 400 wall on stamp would do it.

I suspect that moment is approaching, as the "news" is being recycled constantly, and FUDsters are preying on these fears, in tandem with large market dumps that no longer make sense. If you held until now, there's probably more risk in dumping than holding unless dumping for market manipulation purposes. Let the dumps commence, and let the panic spread. It's the best cure for a BTC hangover.

You'll never get my bitcoins.

I'm with you on this.

This crash will lead to the creation of big, big BTC whales.
I know a lot here are betting on selling now and buying low... which leads me to believe that once the dust settles, we will see a major bull run with the price controlled by big players.

Except that you have been shouting about the same thing at 1100,1000,900,800,700,600,500, and now, and allways call the moon, you should change your address to "to da moon"

why would any newbie listen to you ?   Cheesy

Honest advice:

Cut your losses and get out.
This is a death spiral.
No one knows where the bottom is and if it will ever be 4-500$
Don´t try to catch the bottom, if we reach it you will have plenty of time to buy in again if you still believe in Bitcoin at that that moment.

what will happens is that China will trade in offshore Yuan. Western exchanges can run transactions via banks in Australia (BTCe already doing it), Germany and now London too.

China already has huge shadow finance now it got empowered by BTC.
