"We" gotta blame someone for this dip, and why not you, OgNasty?  hahahahahahaha

Geez… Here I was thinking I’d wake up to people thanking me for telling them this was coming and congratulating me on the incredible accuracy of my prediction, but instead I get blamed for letting OgStradamus tell you the future as if I’m the one responsible. Sometimes I forget what forum this is… LOL

Talking about something strange:

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/technical/bitcoin-hodlers-need-to-pull-their-weight-too

Quote
The question becomes, “How to secure the network (i.e. pay the miners) while HODLing?”

I believe the answer is to implement a HODL_FEE, which would compensate miners from dormant addresses.

In keeping with the bitcoin ethos, the HODL_FEE would be charged:

(a) to any address that had no coins going in or out for the last 52,500 blocks, which is one-quarter the halving period (approximately 1-year), and

(b) in an amount equal to 50% of Median Transaction Fee over the previous two weeks. Therefore, the HOLD_FEE would be re-set in a similar manner as the difficulty adjustment.

TL;DR Noises about taxing HODLers. Phil might applaud, but I think it would be destructive.
Because 3 million dollars per day isn't enough for miners to process a few transactions?

My mining went from burning 200+kwatts per hour to under 10kwatts per hour

I am selling gpus and buying coins with the sales.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/156282022404

I got a lot of cheap coin today. some at 56.9k

I have a lot of cash to buy if we continue to drop.

I do not want holder tax.

And much like og I sold some at over 70k on 3 different times this year.  which is one reason I have cash to buy at 56.9k

Not mining much changes my game plans a lot.

Germany still have 40k coins. And they probably need all the fiat money they can get for their woke wet EUDSSR dream... which is going to end badly. Like always. Germans are masters in pursuing utopia while arriving in dystopia. At least in the last 100 years. This time it will probably be no different.

Not counting the possible US coin sale. Germany and gox make up about 200k coins, which, of course, won't all be sold. But the narrative will be used by fudders to have people part with their Precious. And prices can get even more ugly. DON'T FALL FOR IT, newbs... this is just the bumpy road to moon. no pain no gain!

boy who cried wolf.

That would only be applicable if that story was about a boy who saw a wolf coming, warned people repeatedly for a crazy amount of time and they ignored him. Then when the wolf ate all the sheep the retarded people in the village started blaming him for speaking the wolf into existence because they said no wolves would ever come.

Imagine a ridiculously unlikely scenario which affects no one and then try affect change to bitcoin to fix that non-existent "problem".  ffs  Why is bitcoin magazine giving print-space to anons?

If I wanted a demurrage coin, I would have been all-in on Freicoin.  It's not much different than any fiat currency which already has a similar intrinsic property and I can store that under my mattress until it's worthless if I so chose.  If one cannot make a profit by mining Bitcoin based on the existing rewards and fees, one should not be mining bitcoin.  If it were decided that Bitcoin needed another fee to promote mining, who decides how high the HODL fee is?  Who decides how many miners are allowed to operate?  Who gets final say on the diff limits?  Why should I be shut out of mining just because my gov't charges me an energy tax and your gov't doesn't?  I want to get in on the mining as well.  From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs!  Raise the fees!

Hodlers lower the liquidity and increase the scarcity of Bitcoin every.single.day. making it a more desirable an asset.  I don't image anon is a hodler - hodling isn't easy by any stretch of the imagination... don't do any work pfft!

Why do socialist want to destroy everything?  Get the fuck out of here.

I'm not opposed to hearing other's views but I don't like the fact that there is no section for comments; no place for rebuttals as we're goaded with "Who’s ready to write a BIP?"

One of the stated values of Bitcoin Media LLC is:

"Be Prudent
Bitcoin is scarce, and so are company resources. Treat our resources like you would your own. Be prudent and sensible when it comes to spending so that we can control our own destiny (Please do not sell company chairs) - Stack Sats Mentality"

 Also within its stated policy:

"The editorial staff accepts stories and story pitches entirely on their journalistic merits, timeliness, capacity for coverage and specific relevance to the publication’s readership in the Bitcoin space."

Imo, that article is a fail on both counts if they paid for that content.

Some sigh while some laugh.
Others just yawn at the price.
Gotta love Bitcoin.
I keep doing my DCA to hodl tight, I don't mind those who sigh or get angry over the price. Btw this is best time to keep accumulating. I tasted a bit of 56k waiting for another best opportunity to cast my net again.

I don't know if Bawb's sigh was aimed at the price or some people's response to it. I suspect the latter.  Cool

It seems more like a memecoin now.

The fact the company is totally not interested in making normal, sustainable net zero cars
(it always has to be something dumb - an unusable truck with pedestrian killing angles,
removing stalks, adding an irritating reflective internal light bar,
a useless entertainment screen in the back whilst there is still no basic instrument cluster or easy way to enable / disable wipers), should be a warning.
But it's not.
People are buying Elon's gimmicky crap, exchanging Tesla cars even faster than ICE ones.
Social media is trying to brainwash everyone like you are missing out, JUST like shitcoins.

It's all extreme and utter horseshit!

I'm skeptical of the price of any stock which does not pay dividends and Tesla is one of those stocks. To be fair, most of them are.

To be clear, this doesn't mean one cannot make money off such stocks but a very important price signal is muted in such cases.
