And trump caused 25-30% of that number. He would likely tap out the country. As his specialty is going bankrupt. By the way it could be his goal to do it. It also could be a good idea as it is obviously happening started with Johnson fight Vietnam and the war on poverty at the same time. Nixon tossed in more fuel ending the gold standard. Been downhill since. Had a bit of a pause with Clinton and he fed some money 1993 to 1998 to the middle class. But basically from 1964 to 2024 the USA middle class has been under attack of at least 50 of those 60 years.

Last week ETFs bough over a month's supply of BTC (BTC18.750). Just yesterday ETFs consumed BTC7.761 which is over 17 days of supply consumed in only one day! Anyone else is astonished that they're able to do that without moving the price much?

Point being laying blame doesn't matte if both parties do the same thing

Today I ordered this full extras Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe 2024. I'll have to wait 6 months to get it, though. The good thing is that by then Bitcoin price will be much higher and the lease payments besides my salary part, will cost me less in terms of my stash. My realistic hopes are for the price to be such that it will be below 4% of my stash. I still can't believe how my desicions to start accumulating and hodling in 2016-2017 are bringing me such change and joy now. New town, new home, new job, new car and with the crossing of 100K possibly even a big house and a villa. Besides, I have a fulfilling lifestyle in a town with many culture events, restaurants and hospitals. I'm very happy! congrats Would cost nearly over here around 3.5 btc in overall incl insurance. Yeah, but I imagine ivomm is expecting BTC to be around $100k-ish by the time he has to pay the balance. .around 6 months-ish.. which may or may not end up playing to his favor.. .. so in dollars that car is currently between $100k and $150k depending on features.. and you are saying the same car is more in your location?.. you are suggesting that same car is a bit more than $200k? You must be getting all of the features or some of your other assumptions are seemingly off. Maybe leases work differently in other parts of the world but here, lease payments are generally due monthly for a set term. Once that term expires, you give back whatever is left of the vehicle and would then be assessed a penalty for any wear and tear / mileage over and above the contractual expectation. There would only be a lump sum payment if you decided to buy the vehicle on lease expiration. 6 months is for the delivery of the where first and last is due, the remainder will be spread over several years so I think the $100k number was just thrown out there to use for comparison.

That InvestAnswers James guy always talks about that just $1 billion taken off the table moves BTC up by X. This never seems to happen in reality. I think his ideas are flawed as either he assumes no one sells if they see the price move up, OR if he does consider that, other assumptions in his maths are just not correct at all.

well he passed some terrible laws that effectively ended the 2017 bull run.
But its 2024 and who knows what he does monkeying around if he gets in.
But his 2017 laws passed on dec 31 2017 sucked.
I think, per usual, it was a maelstrom of negative events that ended that bull run... There was massive run-ups leading to profit taking, the collapse of Bitconnect, the end of the halving bull cycle, etc. Certainly new tax laws going into effect also contributed. The strangest thing is it was Trump narrowly avoiding assassination that caused an uptick in my beloved DOGE. Then when Biden stepped down, DOGE went up again. I think it ties into the whole Elon phenomena, since he announced his support for Trump. Now the latest rumor is Biden is literally dying. We may see a few weeks where Kamala Harris is actually president before the end of the year. All the sudden Trump is now the liability as a candidate. Will be an interesting second half of the year, for sure. my wish was neither run for the job. I would prefer people younger then my age of 67. Trump turned 78 June of 2024. He is at least 50 pounds overweight it is not that sure he will run in November. yeah my doge to btc trade ladder is just about ready to happen. and i could have traded 1000’s of doge to btc with out generating any paper work . but thanks to Trump the trades will be reported instead of simple like kind. Nothing would surprise me anymore about the US election considering what we have just seen over the last month. The endless "democracy" gaslighting is just a smoke show for continued globalism and supporting the military industrial complex. What roles the Secret Service / FBI / CIA are actually playing I'm not sure, but considering you just had the greatest Secret Service failing in 60 years and the head of that department stays in place just because she is a woman I doubt is going unnoticed by most Americans. Kamala Harris as US president for the next 8 1/2 years is literally a strong possibility now. Would Texas, Florida and Ohio accept that madness into the 2030s? ("My pronouns are She / Her and I'm wearing a blue suit. / What can be, unburdened by what has been.") I've never heard anyone talk so much and say so little. And people complain about Trump... get real. It just seemed like Covid was a great excuse for all this to possibly happen, didn't it just? Just like in 2020 with the mail in voting etc. It clearly is just gaslighting about democracy. Old Joe is the elected candidate for leader of the Democrats going into this election and they just tossed him on his ear and are undemocratically installing Kamala. She's already raising funds for her campaign. Who elected her as party leader? Also, don't forget Reagan was shot about 40 years ago. That was also a big fail.

If you support Trump, you are literally supporting Adolf Hitler don't forget. Mr Trump is a threat to democracy and is a literal fascist. BUT, it's not right that he was almost assassinated. There is no room for political violence. He should be able to have his MAGA Nazi rallies in a peaceful manner. George Clooney just endorsed Kamala. So there you have it. Celebrities know best and George also said we are not going to have a Trump presidency in 2016. At least all this carry on is very entertaining to say the least. It's just a shame it's all quite serious what the consequences are I guess. If the USA's policies didn't matter for the rest of the world I wouldn't give a shit.

I think we have to assume that there is big money shorting in futures markets to keep the price down. Either that or even worse, Blackrock are selling IBIT shares and not buying the physical Bitcoin. Just a couple of things that have been going through my mind lately. They’ve done it with Gold for years so why not Bitcoin? Obviously we have a fixed supply but I wonder if deep pockets are keeping the Bitcoin price down. Hopefully they have underestimated the effects of the halving and there is a supply shortage soon which sends the price parabolic with them being unprepared and unable to do anything about it. Or maybe when they’re ready they take their foot off our head and we moon. Either way we should experience a big run up either this year or next year.

One would expect that these ETFs have some kind of Proof of Reserves (you know like those shady backyard crypto casinos), but then again they're banks and such alikes, meaning one can really trust them blindly..</s>

So even if you held all the BTC available in the world right now, you could just about pay 1 year's of interest. I remember an interview from Blackrock CEO Larry Fink saying that the Dollar will not be sustainable in the long run building new infrastucture is critical for America mainting prosperity. The U.S goverment, Wallstreet and the FED they all know the Dollar needs to be replaced. What will that be? CBDC (digital Dollar) ore...Bitcoin? Blackrock and others are buying like crazy they alone already have more than 300.000 coins. Dispite haven't heard about it for a while CBDC is still in the pipeline. I guess it will be a mix with the digital Dollar/Euro/Yen/Pound with Bitcoin as digital gold backup status. It will be a profound development fase when Lightning finally takes off eating CBDC marketshare making central banks absolute and the redistribution of financial power.

Certainly YES.... makes me thinking who is selling etc On Wall Street you don't have to "have" something in order to sell "it". That said, I don't have any evidence that they sell nonexistent bitcoin using the ETF shorting route, but it is possible, especially since, apparently, most of the ETF companies do not reveal their holding addresses.

Certainly YES.... makes me thinking who is selling etc the big part of the Bitcoin supply is held by individuals. I guess whales from the first era are eager to sell for a few millions what they bough for a pizza. Nothing wrong about that.
