Who cares even if we do dip below $60K again?  That's just more dollar cost averaging coins to be scooped up by the faithful before we blast off.  It's clear we've gotten over the hurdles of mtgox and most of the government selling.  It's clear governments have started printing money again globally.  I even think it is clear that demand is outstripping new supply greatly while cash is quickly heading to the market for new buys.  I feel pretty good about the statement that we will be at least 10% higher a month from now.  10% in a month to normal people would be a big number to promise on an investment.

When you have been long enough in Bitcoin (as you have), price fluctuation is just a game at some point.
We placed our bets long ago and it doesn't matter which numbers the roulette's ball jumps around at before its final destination (even though we already got rewarded while waiting - how awesome is that !?)

But it's still exciting to watch price movements, and that's one reason why I'm a WO member, apart from the company of well educated gentlemen sharing pics of themselves pissing while drunk...

Well September is over, and according to my maths Blackrock alone managed to accumulate almost BTC9k (8.934) in September. Which is around 66% of all BTC created in September (13.500), and this was their low month. Together Blackrock with Fidelity sucked up 101% of all BTC created in September (13.717). How they manage to pull this off under the radar is quiet astonishing. Tic toc...

Total coincidence that it looked like the price kept getting knocked-down to allow lower price accumulation, I'm sure.

how do you think they do it ?
would love to hear everybody's opinion. Especially what role derivatives, insider whale activity and miners play

Or we can say that there can be no winner in such a war - literally the entire northern hemisphere would be burned according to all the simulations that exist. If Iraq or Afghanistan had nuclear weapons, they would never have been attacked - just as Russia would not have attacked Ukraine if, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the US had not exerted enormous pressure on Ukraine to surrender its nuclear weapons.

OT:

Recent (End of August) redux of the North America Nebula (NGC 7000) using the new camera with the 430mm telescope.
One of the brighter nebulae captured near zenith for about 2 hours, so minimal post-processing needed (mainly denoising and sharpening)
Though we had clear, dark night skies in September, when i was on vacation and i returned with rainy, cold weather.
Still no newer pics to date
Hoping on winter ("Galaxy Season"), when there should be less moisture in the air.



EDIT: I plan to shoot the lower right area, where the most defined red (Hydrogen-Alpha) gases are located, with four times the resolution/magnification, but i (probably) need a better guiding camera first. This one will need 8 hours of exposure for the same signal quality, but it could be done in November or December within a single night. Wish me luck.

There's a mind trick for kind of doing that (in reverse, actually), but it only gives peace for one. If everybody would be doing it regularly, we could achieve quite a similar state of being  
The collapsing variant would take a lot of "time", or a near infinite amount of parallel events, which can't be triggered locally, i guess.

OT: Re Mars and a 'future yourself'

Remember 23andMe company...15 mil Americans gave their DNA to clear their ethnicity, find lost cousins, potentially mutated genes, etc, etc.
Now, 23andMe is in trouble:

A sombre thought occurred:

Current DNA sequencing techniques allow for easy sequencing of the donor's ENTIRE DNA (genome).
With that in hand, such genome can be stored as information (file) and that file could later be used to reproduce YOU, theoretically.
If someone has a drive to populate some planet (which one, I wonder?) with genetically variable humans, all would be needed is a slightly better DNA synthesis capabilities and a source of oocytes/eggs, from where the maternal DNA would have to be removed. A small zap of electricity, then a surrogate mom and YOU (biologically) could be reborn (of course, with no memories whatsoever).

I am not sure whether it is entirely bad or the very fact that you could be reborn like this, albeit purely theoretically, could be pleasing to someone.

TL;DR If you gave DNA to 23andme, then, purely theoretically, you could be reborn later on (according to the scheme above).

It's pretty neutral as far as I'm concerned. It's just a totally separate person. I'm sure some would find objection to it though.

Of more concern to me is the possibility of genetically targeted attack vectors if the info is in the hands of our enemies. It probably already was though. It's not hard to get genetic information.
