talkimg works again! Thanks so much, Richy!
Talkimg is working again but I'm currently uploading the images to an AWS instance. If anyone is collecting the CB images periodically, they might want to make sure they're up-to-date because I'll likely shut it down and switch back to talkimg tomorrow. Missed images (or data) available from me if needed.

To me, 860K is bonkers...many people would be at least rich-lite (or well off) with just 3-5 btc.
There was a time when 1k seemed bonkers (RIP Risto). Though I do concur with the sentiment. I don't doubt that I'll see a $1M btc in my lifetime. But then my thoughts go immediately to, what will the dollar $ be worth by then? Exactly. That's why we must no be too impatient, to me 1 million $ BTC next year would be the result of some kind of disaster. this could simply be trump is going to win 🥇 money. so even if he wins we may back track a bit. Well if he wins and does start trade wars with China and Europe then yes he might crash the dollar enough for BTC to be a million of them but I'd call that a disaster.

BTW apparently Trump in a speech today praised the French system for elections, where we all have a voting card, show ID, and the result is known at 8PM.
He's not wrong, and in a country where you need an ID for a lot of things and get it for free, and get the voting card in the mail, it's not a big hassle put on people.
With that said he would never have won an election with our system, since we directly vote for the president, not indirectly, so you need the "popular vote" as there is nothing else.

Buddy almost back Ready to print ATH.
Seems more like Buddy is getting himself ready to print $69,420 as we select a new United States President. You can't make this stuff up, well I guess you could and probably would but it is still funny. It does show how small the Bitcoin market is (and the maturity level of our community, myself included) that people are able to play such games like this. That, or we are living in a simulation and some alien out there is messing with us (Elon Musk?).

Ya, I know Bitcoin will be fine either way. I’m thinking more about the users. If Trump eliminated taxes on Bitcoin that would obviously be a big positive for the industry. I also think he would deregulate the industry making projects easier to run and investments easier to come by. I don’t see any future where the price doesn’t continue to rise.
I think anyone expecting much from Trump on Bitcoin is due to be disappointed (and I'm hoping he gets in). However, not getting in the way would be a definite plus. I think the prospect of him not getting in the way of bitcoin is more reason why almost every bitcoiner is queueing behind Trump and not actually that he's going to do something extraordinary with bitcoin. What the community needs is a USA president that would create a conducive environment and friendly policies for bitcoin to exist, that's just enough to seeing the community and bitcoin itself heading to a positive future.

What alternate Universe are you living in, Id's are not free here. With that being said I also agree that's a better system than the shitshow we have.

Yeah Trump is going to lose by more than 1,000,000 votes and very likely will be the president again. In fact Bush won in 2000 and lost the popular vote. Trump lost the popular vote in 2016 and won the election. And in 2024 vey likely Trump loses popular vote and is the winner . I am not a fan of states rights. Think its a terrible idea that has led to many many many people killing each other (Civil war and slavery) But that states rights bs won’t end anytime soon. Electoral Trump 8 Harris 3 you need 270 to be president.

I just realized that until this weekend, every-single-time I've come to the US since my youngest was born, I've been asked for ID to check into a hotel, even though I book well in advance and pay up front with my credit card. I used to argue because the credit card companies forbade asking for ID in order to use the card but eventually I gave up. This week, I've checked into 3 different hotels with three different parent companies and not one of them asked to see my ID! I can hardly wait until I travel here next time to see if this is a new trend or some sort of election-time anomaly. Maybe they'll stop asking me for ID to purchase alcohol too... strange.

I am 67 and once in a while I get proofed for buying booze 🍸. NJ law state all must show i.d. no exceptions. So some do proof me.
