Sorry to urinate on the parade, but this is not a "real" ATH. The last ATH was an ATH in all currencies, this is only an ATH in USD.
So it's not bitcoin that has gone up in price, it's the US dollar that has gone down in price.
don't get me wrong, bitcoin is going up in price, and I'm glad it does, but it's not going up as much as it seems from a US dollar viewpoint.
I somewhat agree with you. We are all excited though. As someone who observes traders, seeing old sell orders start getting hit makes me excited. I think we all want to see true price discovery though, where Bitcoin breaks out meaningfully and holds a correction above the previous highs in every currency. It is coming. For bubblers, all that matters is BTC being over $100K on June 30th so MSTR can be added to the S&P 500 in September (announced Sept 5th for Sept 20th inclusion). |
