I am not a TA guy but I was mostly right. I do think support and trend lines are real.
Yesterday, I expected a drop to $605 today, then a ramp to $630 or higher. Once we bounced off the longterm trendine at $596 instead, i expected we would hit $605-610 before days close (12am UTC), and $625 or so tomorrow. All based on support and trend lines.
Ask me why we blew thru the support in the low $600's and I have no idea.

rebound in progress? or ignition.. we shall see Looks like double bottom to me. But we might just retrace and then continue more down. I am still not sure about double bottom yet, but let's wait more then it will confirm, if there is or not. Yeah, still seeing a double bottom here off 3700 lows. But not sure that this bear move is done.

He's resigning to throw himself fully at BTC. A strange reason to panic.
It would not be the strangest reaction the market has ever had to incoming news.

Part of me misses the DDOS's on exchanges and the 10's of minutes of trading lag.
We've come a long way.......

After the consolidation we have had and the decreasing almost all time low volatility- and coupled with the very low volume- in my opinion WHEN the move happens - there will be no mistaking it, the volume will confirm. Though beware of traps. Eitherway - so far not much to see... but it is warming up. What's going on? I'm afraid what'll happen the coming week. It's Sunday, so do you think we might see another Sunday night rise/pump or are we in for a Monday-Monday-Manic-Crash? Where are our long-term support lines we're supposed to bounce of now?
765 750 735 710 676 666 654 636 629 =623 618-614 609601 586 ish 565 530/5 500 476 435/430 Personally I think we are in for an interesting week - mid term decision time is nearly upon us... I will be looking thursday/friday, although who knows what will happen Monday... This sideways has got to be up sooooooooon Nothing to do with the cycle, but eitherway this sideways cannot go on much longer - if we are still sideways come the 1-8th Aug - I will be shocked. I have been shocked before so no biggie but just sayin'.
Talking of sideways - dats about how I am right around now - I think it might be the buckets of rum and coke flying around... f'kin love this place.

my guess, is these plays are confirming bear whale manipulation. Trying to create panic out of thin air since we've been off the react to China tip for a while now.
Again I feel things like Coinsetter, Circle going live will bring more buyers who just weren't ready to buy, yet! And Barry going full-time exchange operator bodes well for the competitive atmosphere surrounding the race for an industry standard bitcoin exchange.

I'm okay without it. Feels less likely to flash crash this way.

He's resigning to throw himself fully at BTC. A strange reason to panic. That is just what the public announcement says. You cannot take such announcements at face value. He may have been fired or he may have left, for any of many reasons.

Today was a bad day. Just because we broke the 600s. I never wanted to go south of that. Nothing good comes of this. We can just hope that this at least fostered our support lines. But the rebound was pathetic at best.

Well, at least I called it right last week when I voted that price would be $610 on 7/25. And once again, the bulls get slaughtered. Did anyone really think we would push past $720, or is that what they *wanted* to believe?

I don't know if I'd go as far and call the current drop an instance of 'bull slaughtering'... But it's unnerving, yes!
