It can be hard sometimes not to feel like a huge bear with all the constant accusations from the rest of the bullish crowd that if you don't believe in $10k by December, you're a retard.

(and then you still have to draw a line between yourself and the actual bear trolls).

I surrender! Bitcoin's volatility is really nothing in comparision what one has to bear in this thread. I quit here, and will search a new, better home - Ryan's Log, Analysis never ends, Speculation Posting Guidelines or whatever. It's too heavy, my head! I need asparine or better some valium.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

What do you reckon is the chance for bitcoin to never see $500 again?

I am NO soothsayer, but probably less than 2%....

Shorts are decreasing as price is decreasing.
The dumps are real panic sellers.

Not even a short squeeze can save us right now.

We don't need any shorts. If we really do go up, bears will buy back, as well. Bears aren't stupid. At least most of them aren't.

But what if this time it's different, and there is no significant bounce?  Suppose sellers just decide to walk away for 2 years?

Isn't buyers buying back what even day traders always expect?  What if they crash a market so hard that people say "Ok I'm done this time."  Then more miner selling, merchant selling, etc.

It's a scenario that most here don't even consider. Like it's impossible. It's weird so many people think like that.

Spoken like someone who never bought and held a coin in 2014.  Must be nice.  Same goes for all those that bought only in single and double digits.  Nothing for them to worry about, until the price returns to their levels too.

It wasn't that long ago (march) we were in the 300s. Then we went up to about 680. BTCgoes up; BTCgoes down.
Don't worry; be happy Smiley

If you trust the pattern repeats, then yes, be happy. If you don't believe in analysing lines on a chart. Though, this is scary

I really don't believe in analyzing lines on a chart. There are too may unknown factors. It's like watching all the financial shows and experts and just doing what they say. If that's all it took, everyone would be rich. Also, since they're saying a lot of different things, somebody eventually gets it right but it doesn't mean much. I do enjoy listening though, sometimes you learn something. I've learned how to get in that zone where you're at equilibrium. You can be happy either way because you planned it that way.

The same applies to all of life. When I'm on vacation I stay up late with friends and family, drink, and smoke, and have a good time. After vacation I get tired of smoking and get back into running marathons. I enjoy smoking but only smoke about 2 packs a year. Another example of equilibrium, I enjoy smoking and I enjoy not smoking. But, if you can't handle the down side, or can't control, don't do!

I was also born poor but now very well off. Even if my few hundred BTC went down to 0 it wouldn't change anything. I've already achieved my goal. So I can be happy. I'm doing this for fun. Happiness and fun, isn't that what we all strive for?

why's  btc-e constantly lower than bitstamp? Harder to get money in? Easier to withdraw fiat? Less stringent KYC procedures?

Much more hassle to get USD in and out compared to other exchanges is my guess. You have to go through some weirdo third party services.
