it might not be popular, but what happens is that bitcoin prices only move based on technical factors. Fundamentals are lagging.
This is why it is best to make forecasts based on technical chart analysis and not fundamentals.
Just look how foolish Tim Draper's bitcoin purchases are. He reads in mainstream media that bitcoin is the next big thing and he buys bitcoins first at around 600-700$ , losing half in value.
He has been at least 1.5 years too late...

I tend to disagree. Do you *REALLY* think guys like him are losing money?  Roll Eyes

Guys like him definitely lose money on individual investments.
Make 10 high risk/high reward bets, lose 9, win one.  Stay in the black.
Bitcoin turned out to be one of the loosing bets Undecided

I had to cash out a significant part of my short to cover Christmas shopping and business start-up expenses. Seriously depressed, now. Money still on the table... and then the inevitable bounce up. It's always the worst when you have to do real people things with money right when the market seems so predictable.

Bad planing, its not easy, i know, but why do you have to do this to yourself for christmas. You´re a masochist.
I bet, youre into "bdsm" as well .   Smiley

Why do you assume it's such a guarantee that he can't lose money that you feel confident enough to roll your eyes at speculation that he very well might be?

Should I start mining Ripple? How much of it was pre-mined? I'm not going to consider it if over 10% was pre-mined.
