It should not matter how much btc one owns.
For one person btc is much, for the other it's pocket change.

All depends on your income and how late you joined this game.

I could imagine a minor gambling with his pocket money.
1 btc could be 100% of his net worth.

Much tougher than gambling with 10 btc when you have a 5 digit USD income.

I buy a few every week at these prices. That is the point of disposable income, right? Trading is not the only form of speculation!

But because it worked before, doesn't mean it will certainly happen again.

Anyway I think price probably will recover before 1-2 years. But buying during a bubble and holding without stop loss is not a good investment strategy and should not be an example of being "smart" despite of results.
