First time in 8 years I used XAYA discord link and it took me to darknet porn nest. I got disgusted and then, moved by nausea, ducked out in panic and apprehension. Most holders are way too chicken-livered and timid to admit that in the backdrop of a general picture lives something barbaric and ruthless about XAYA that ur eye can not see. No one is permitted to talk about it because they know they would be gagged and trussed up like Halloween turkey.

Answer: Yes, this is not a trivial problem to solve. Games using Xaya’s technology are designed to run unaided and unstoppable in a decentralized way just like Bitcoin. When it comes to updates that affect the state of the game, such as an expansion or fixes, updates need to be planned for a certain time in the future of which the community has an option to update or not. Those that aren’t willing to be running in a parallel universe with different rules. This is essentially a fork of the game world.
Although this might sound like an issue, it actually has the benefit of empowering the gamers or community themselves. If they don’t like an update, they don’t need to, or, they can even update the game (all opensource) themselves. Front end and graphical changes can be done anytime in the case of Xaya games, and third party developers can create their own front ends if they wish.

If it was the year 2013 people and most of the cryptos sprouted off bitcoin did not exist people would work their normal jobs in their worship dance to office chair. Now this industry messed everything up. New cryptos are gushing, with more people working to bring their stuff to the attention market. Then they make educational videos like above to ding that plague in greenies. Crypto must die.

I'm in for many reasons, one word would be 'protocol' - in every direction. Another would be the way you interpret the idea of gaming. Xaya, the entire platform, CHI and WCHI + the name registrar for different types of NFT/functionalities. I can't even tell you how much this project hits on everything I've valued about merge mining chains and their close knit communities and brilliant devs for the past 12 years they've coexisted (me joining almost 5-6 yrs into this world).
Just bought 2,000 more WCHI what a bargain.

Here is a difficult question for Xaya. Suppose that I want to make a game that incentivizes some sort of science. For example suppose the game puts people in a rocket ship and they can control their direction, forward velocity, etc, but the 'science' goal of the game is to use the computing power to calculate the properties of the space in which the ship might go, depending on its fuel, etc. So how hard would it be to design for example, a game where the general space contained 'prime numbers' for example, and that space was populated with primes to some extent, any that are already known, but the person could use whatever abilities they have, including creating bots, to find new primes and win prizes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EK32jo7i5LQWould that be a 'simple' Xaya project or would it need a lot of paid developers? |

That's an interesting suggestion. I think the main difficulty would be to come up with the right sort of tasks, i.e. such that the task is hard but easy to verify. I'm no expert in number theory, so I don't know if there are efficient proofs for a number being prime (more efficient than finding one). I assume you don't want to go with one of the algorithms that just prove a number is prime "with high probability". The next difficulty probably would be coming up with a good economic model for the game, so it doesn't follow the typical hype-and-crash of play-to-earn games. But all in all, if you can solve the design issues, it is probably not too hard to implement in Xaya. |
