Did one change today between eth and bnt. Failed first time. Went OK second time and cost $5.
All in all quicker and easier than using an exchange.

Although Ethereum Network is functioning better now, the scalibility problem is not solved permanently. I think Bancor team is just making sure that transfers go through smootly on time. It is a good solution but an expensive one as well.
Especially as the scalability problem of Ethereum is still far from being solved, I think that Bancor's team should start to think long term on how to have in future the Bancor platform possibly running also on other platforms rather than Ethereum. Bancor must become independent, and not be chained to a single platform. |

Do you think it's too fast? Or on the contrary, we waited too long for this, and finally it happens? I'm inclined to the second option. And I'm very glad that it began to happen.

No, it is not too fast, and it was predicted it would happen. Bancor is set to become a standard which no token (and later possibly coin) can afford to ignore. As soon as a critical mass of currencies will enjoy Bancor's continuous liquidity system, expect all the others to rush in as well at explosive rate. PS. By that moment Bancor will moon, but this is a self-evident notion. |

I always loved Bancor concept, and I see it's gaining momentum.
The only thing that is bothering me is that it's working on ETH blockchain as an ERC20 token.
It depends on ETH success, and can suffer from ETH blockchain congestion, etc.
I think the "ultimate" currency, or store of value (constant growth based on market growth with new tokens/currencies added in its decentralized exchange) that Bancor is, should have its own blockchain.
I remember reading in the whitepaper that their are plans to be able to cover other blockchains too, etc.
But, do other people think Bancor is meant to be on its own blockchain?
I'm not an engineer so I don't know what are the current possibilities about cross-chain smart contracts to be able to run Bancor decentralized exchange, but I would be very happy to know what the community thinks about this aspect.
I really feel like Bancor can't fulfill its goal by remaining in ETH (or any other) blockchain.

It`s like browser and phone-competition. I think at the end, there will be 3 or 4 currencies dominating the cryptoworld, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Neo. And a few other currencies which are a little bit smaller, but make also good profit. Guess, nem, monero, stellar, ripple,... All the early adopters will make it, I`m pretty sure, and they can optimize their technology, in getting faster and cheaper. |

BNT token is trying to maintain decent value against Bitcoin while in dollars it has lost temporary. I do believe my few hundred tokens will be worth more than they were before this bearish trend in cryptomarkets. The bounce back will take BNT to new all time highs for sure.
