From what I have read of the Bancor Formula, fluctuations of a smart token's price are proportional to the exchanged volume. This should also prevent spikes. Is that correct?

Yes, we were right. I remember that I also read about it. So the developers themselves answered me:

Bancor: Yes, in general, Smart Token price fluctuations are relatively stable because of the maintained Connector token weight. This means both spikes and crashes are less acute. BNT's performance on external exchanges wasn't very good but since yesterday it started to give signal of rise and coming back. Most of the people invested to get some return with profit so did I. More and more tokens are joining them the effect isn't visible but I do belive now it will bounce back very soon.

Are you sure? The price of Bancor is only 20% of ICO price, ICO price was 0.0013-5 btc, but now only 30k sat, the price is hurting me, I lose faith on bancor. Although many projects use Bancor but it is still underpriced.

I agree, it takes patience to be able to get profit when we invest altcoin, team need time to improve service and improve their project. and it usually takes at least 2 years to know what the coin project looks like.

At this moment price are at around $2 and to reach BNT at $200 now is quite realistic approach in changed situation. We have seen lot of coins/tokens reaching in fiat at three figures with lot of supply. Long term can show us any price depends on usage of platform and services which seems to be at large scale in future.

There are no real advantages to using ETH as a reserve token, since it is exactly as liquid as BNT (which holds ETH in its reserve). Using BNT as the default reserve currency has some key advantages (from the FAQ):

- Network Effects: The more Smart Tokens™ that use BNTs in reserve (which will be the default setting for Smart Token™ creation in any Bancor developed or financed software service), the more valuable and more in-demand the BNT becomes. As the value of BNT rises, so too does the value of every Smart Token™ holding BNT in reserve.

- Incentive for Early Adopters: Just as with any cryptocurrency, early adopters will contribute to BNTs so that they can be the first to use the Bancor protocol and so that they can see their donation rise in value as the protocol is built and grows. Without this incentive, it would be a challenge to support Bancor’s development and growth, as well as to obtain the required reserve deposits in order to enable BNT to function as a continuously liquid decentralized exchange for popular ERC20 tokens (based on Smart Token™ changers, as detailed in the whitepaper and in various FAQs in this document). Linking popular tokens to the Bancor network (via token changer or token basket reserves) is expected to dramatically increase the usability and value of the network.
