So, I don't know if I understood very well for what I am paying for in this project.

100€ -> 20chips assembly board + Cooling fan + software, right?

So, what about the Avalon chips? I have to buy them apart of this topic? or can I buy it? I'm not really sure about this thing at all...

Expected time for shipping is mid-july... Isn't it?

English is not my native language, I'm so sorry about that Sad I hope you can understand me.

Burnin will have some chips himself to sell complete miners but most miner will be created out of asic chips he will get sent from customers...

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

No need to apologize, Srbotones Smiley
Yes, you must buy the Avalon chips by yourself and send them to burnin.
There are several Groupbuys for chips in this Forum - just take a look and choose one, where the buyer is located near you or will ship to you.

Only problem will be the logo I think as German`s "Abmahnsystem" is really a pain. Couldn`t imagine that this law would be possible in Austria (next to Germany :-) ).

I did not plan to use THAT as the logo for it, so I'll be fine.  Wink

Hi,
thank you burnin for starting this project! Very welcome!
I will also buy chips and I will want to turn them into miners (well, seems like 99% have this plan now). Is this possible at all when you know how to use a soldering iron and you have some basic knowledge in electronics? The plans here look complicated and I have absolutely no clue how the chips will be driven in the end. Or is there any ready guide or plan which can be used by folks like me? What other equipment does one need to assemble a miner based on the avalon chips?
Best Regards from Frankfurt/Germany,
Excalibur

The board assembly can only be done by individuals with reflow-soldering capabilities.
And even to those people i wouldn't recommend manual assembly, there are over 200 0402 parts on a single board!

---------------------

To anyone sending me PN's/Mails:
Please be patient i'll try to answer them all.
I only allocate 10-20% of my time to communication, development has priority over anything else.

Hahaha - Bitburner :-)

I knocked it together in a couple of minutes as a joke. The blatant ripoff of an established trademark would be a Bad Thing.

Someone with more skills than I have in such matters would need to create a logo from scratch.

i am sure there will be some people who have ordered avalon chips through zefirs group buy, who will have those chips assembled by burnin into miners, that would like to sell their miners right after them being made.

i have ordered 500 chips and burnin will build 25 miners out of this. i will sell some for sure. there will be plenty of those i assume.

I have a question for burning or anyone who can answer me.... (one more  Undecided)

Could the OP show us some picutres of the prototypes? Something more real than a render of the "future rig" I trust in this person but I think if he upload some pictures for us woould be a great thing, more tangible thing...

Thanks¡¡

They do not exist yet.

They will be created from scratch by the end of this month, beginning next month first as renders, then as smaller prototype boards to test the chip communication first.

Once the designs allow for chip communication to occur and the prototypes basically work, THEN you create prototypes to put 10-20 chips on. That will be end of next month probably. You will likely then get your picture.

You see, if you get a picture before people have chips (Hello, BFL), then there is a lot of probability that this is not going to be a board you are using...

Is it possible that after starting to assemble boards Burnin encounters problems that will take months to be solved (see BFL)?

Thanks for your answer... I have that doubt because i was thinking "how could he work without any chip?"

So, in any case there aren't any real guarantee... isn't it?

Because all the chip specs are available. Design phase is always done based off of specs. Testing phase is the first phase where any chips are actually required.  Wink

Unlikely.

Because the Chip specs are already released and Avalon has them working. So, from now, it is rather a point of applying what has already been done and seeing how much creativity you can get away with Cheesy

The PCBs are rather "simple" compared to logic design of a chip.

Yup.

And, well, german legal procedures for the company, although I think that one might be done already.

Great,
Other thing, imagine that there is no problem assembling the board. Someone still has to develop software for it? like drivers or something?

It’s my understanding that burnin will program the firmware to emulate a regular Avalon. From there you can use the usual suspects (cgminer or whatever) to mine.
