Would a global disaster increase or decrease the Bitcoin value ?

If a global disaster would happen on earth ( And I somehow don't wish it ) Would the value increase or decrease ?

I'm not talking about solar flares or EMP. But more like big wars or great natural disaster.

What are your opinions on the subject ? 

it will actually depends on the area, let say there will be a tsunami disaster on china and all the plants for cryptocurrency are being hit then there is a huge chance for the portion of block chain to be removed and it will affect the price of specific cryptocurrency on the market.

It is realy hard to predict, and depends a lot of the nature of the disaster. Most cases however, I think the price would decrease, especialy, if there would be electricity problems as well.

I think the price would decrease, as people would have to purchase other products, whith life saving potentials, and so, most people would try to just sell cryptos as fast as possible, to liquidate money. And we all now, what this higher crypto supply would cause.

I don't think the first thing that you will think about is the price of BTC. But then again, let's see. I'm pretty sure in cases if wars people will start dumping their shares before and at the early moments the war is happening. This will cause the price to actually dip. Much like any other currency, it will happen the sane with cryptos.

Yeah I think this will affect in Bitcoin if there is disaster or war, specially if the country is involve in disaster or war some of transaction are limited or sometimes is failed to transact. If disaster is like typhoon or earthquake (hopefully not happen) i think the communication or internet have low or totally no internet.

but if bitcoin can increase higher in the global disaster, I think many people which have bitcoin will cash out their bitcoin to fiat so they can buy something. I think that bitcoin price might not get affected with global disaster since bitcoin is not available in our real life but if the internet is shutdown then it will give a big impact to the bitcoin price and perhaps bitcoin cannot be used anymore so people will leave bitcoin and move to the traditional again.

If there are great wars or global natural disasters, it seems to me that it will not be until the crypto currency. People will be primarily concerned with the problem of survival, and not with the problems of accumulating digital types of money. If there is a threat to the existence of mankind, then the cryptoplit can generally be forgotten in the future, so it will not even make sense to pay any attention to it. Can be forgotten in the future, even the technology itself blockchein. In addition, if there are very large cataclysms, it is unlikely that there will be an Internet, and without it, the crypto currency will be just a memory.

If we draw an analogy with gold, the more stable the global financial system, the slower gold grows in price. On the contrary, during wars, conflicts and upheavals, gold is steadily rising in price.Therefore, we can assume that bitcoin will rise in price. Well, again, about the disaster there is no speech. From my calculation, I assume the price of the Bitcoin will fall if there is a global disaster. After a disaster, the price of the commodity is likely to become high. But we cannot consider BTC as a commodity. Because, it's a currency and people tend to sell their Bitcoins at the time when they need more cash. So, the value is most likely to fall after or during a global disaster.

I think if global disaster occur then the bitcoin value would decrease ,
I don't really see why would it increase people would sell of their Bitcoin to get Fiat to buy the things that they need.
So for me it would only drop the price and the worst thing is Bitcoin would be worthless.

There is a huge chance that global disaster might affect the price of cryptocurrency to decrease in the market because some will be affected of the war or let say natural disaster like hurricane and they might sell their coins and that will be the reason for the price to dump.

Yes any global disaster will affect the price of bitcoin and every person will sell their bitcoin so i think they will lose their a lot of profit because the price of bitcoin will going to down but there is one way to safe any global disaster that if cryptocurrency create a lot of benefits in forum so everyone will easily join it and that's why they will very busy to earn money and that is why global disaster will reduce, so government should improve this currency for their citizen so they will never waste their time in pointless activities so most of global disaster will reduce.

That's a good question and something to consider. I guess if the country you live in where to go to war, I think having your money in crypto might be a safe thing to do. I mean I imagine that war would be very bad for the economy, and safer put away if you manage to survive. Forced to hold, who knows, might come out of it rich.

It is better to hope for the best all the time and that I really wish that nothing like that ever happens but in case any such thing happens in the future, this will surely result in higher value of the bitcoin as the ones who will then be having the bitcoins in their wallet will be using them for their safe survival which will result in shortage of the bitcoins and because of which, the demand of the bitcoin will rise higher.

I think a global crisis would negatively effect bitcoin and will eventually end it. Bitcoin is a technology and modernity. To let bitcoin be successful we need safety and a peaceful environment. Any kind if war will bring all the negative effects on bitcoin.

I do not agree with people saying, Bitcoin is a ponzi, and has no real value. But if a global disaster happened, the value of it would probably be much lower, than now, and only the real fanatic would stay. Others would try to buy more useful staffs I guess.

If it is a world war I believe it will affect the price of bitcoin to decrease because people will not have time buying crypto on that day and at the same time.every damage caused by a war will.be one of the reason at the same time.

You should definitely not wish it, especially if only to increase the value of bitcoin.

On topic though, I am confident that a global disaster, especially one of a financial nature, would surely push the value of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in a upward trend. When people are scared that their fiat will lose value they will store it in something they know will be much safer and crypto can provide that safety. Even if banks get robbed or buildings explode, bitcoin will still remain there, stable and un-hackable as ever.
