I am also an investor of CREA. I think thil will go high from here, but I am lil bit scared about po.et, because they have money and the right connections in the industry.

They are two blockchain projects of the multimedia sector very different. Its philosophy, technology and target are different. Creativechain is 100% p2p without intermediaries. We do not compete against other projects, we compete against the centralized model of the cultural industries of content distribution. 😁  👍

Seems that I am a bit late to the party here. Interesting project, especially for one who has worked in design departments before, knowing what intellectual property in that realm is often required. This could be something.

You are welcome, we need the designers on our side for the next phase of the project.  Wink

Let's move this to 46368. Buying hash here and there to put the chain at work faster Wink Let's see if the algo change goes smooth...
have any plan to contact the china exchange ?

If it is in our plans. Do you recommend any in particular? Smiley

My crea still locked in cryptopia. Anybody knows when is it going to be solved?
I can not even transfer my coins to my wallet... no explanation...

Cryptopia has announced on its website that it will resume trading after block 46368. https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=CREA_BTC

The main purpose of this update is to secure the network making it more efficient, achieve greater decentralization and protect it from the power of multiple mining pools and its asymmetric hashing power.

In order to achieve this, it has been added the new and advanced SHA-3 Keccak algorithm for the proof-of-work (POW) and DigiShield, whose technology has implemented a more dynamic retarget system to regulate the mining difficulty.

The fork, that will implement these updates, will be activated automatically in block number 46368 and, to do this process, users who have their CREA in the wallet simply need to update it as soon as possible.

DigiShield

It is a technology that implements a more dynamic recalculation of the mining difficulty.

Currently any cryptocurrency may have problems with large mining pools and high hashing power, once large pools increase the difficulty they automatically stop mining the coin, deposit the coins into the market, and they leave leaving the rest of the more dedicated miners with a very high difficulty and very few new coins to be mined. This situation discourages some miners as it would not be profitable to mine and eventually abandon mining. This scenario can lead to double-spending attempts or 51% attacks. At the same time it can slow down the blockchain until the next recalculation is reached.

DigiShield protects CREA against this threat and helps ensure greater confidence in any currency that implements it, allowing the difficulty to rise and fall almost perfectly synchronized with increases or decreases in the net hash of a currency.

DigiShield is an asymmetric approach to re-targeting difficulty. With DigiShield, it is possible to decrease the difficulty in movements larger than allowed to increase from block to block. This prevents a blockchain from being “stuck”, that is, it does not find the next block for several hours after a significant drop in the net currency hash. It’s all about balance. It should allow the difficulty to increase enough between blocks to achieve a sudden increase in the net hash, but not enough to accidentally send the difficulty to very high levels. The same happens when the difficulty decreases. Since it takes much longer to find the next block, you need to allow it to drop faster than it increases.

Currently the difficulty is recalculated every 720 blocks; with this implementation the recalculation will happen to be made each block (120 seconds).

Some projects such as DigiByte, Dogecoin, Z-Cash have recently successfully implemented DigiShield, providing robustness and protection to their coins.

Without a doubt, it will be a system that will give greater security to the ecosystem of the network of Creativechain.

Oh, please, guys, if I remember correctly the creapool is yours. I have bought 4GH/s to finish this fucking scrypt phase and now the pool is down. Sorry, but this is not serious.
I'm starting to lose too much money in this project. No, no, not comfortable with this.

I'm not ENT dev neither affiliated with EternityGroup in any way. Simply, the coin gives good returns.

Please, read the message written on Crypropia's CREA market section. Wallet will be updated at block 46368. Then you can trade again your CREA

You should go maybe with Binance, it is primarely chinees but anyone can register. It is decentrilized exchange with decent volume and their support seems very responsive so I suppose you would get in touch more easily.

Mining CREA with Keccak

With the new algorithm change, Creativecoin can be mined with GPU leaving the Scrypt mining with ASIC behind. It is very common to fall into the misconception that Creativecoin [CREA] uses the same Maxcoin block verification system or derived because they use the same PoW algorithm. CREA uses Keccak as a PoW algorithm but also a double iteration of SHA256 (as Litecoin, Bitcoin) to calculate the Merkle Root of each block, while Maxcoin and derivatives use a single iteration of SHA256. This causes that if we try to mine with the default algorithm that comes with Keccak, in the most common pools (like UNOMP) our node will reject the block because the Merkle Root is not valid.

Several projects have been modified to be mined with this new concept, and the UNOMP algorithm module has been adapted to accept this way of mining.

GPU:

GenesisMining’s sgminer-gm software has been modified for GPU mining. The new code can be found at this link. This software is designed to mine with AMD graphics.

This is the instruction to mine with sgminer:

sgminer -k keccak -o stratum+tcp://miner.creativechain.net:9160 -u <Crea Address> -p x

We note that, with this software, the mining for Maxcoin and derivatives has been discarded. Configuration parameters can additionally be added according to the preferences or type of graphics used.

CPU:

Although not as efficient, the tpruvot cpuminer software has also been modified. The new code can be found at this link. This software is specifically designed to mine with CPU.

Here is the instruction to mine with cpuminer:

cpuminer -a keccakc -o stratum+tcp://miner.creativechain.net:9150 -u <Crea Address> -p x

Yes and only a few hours away. Then we will see where we are going. I believe there will be a strong buy for CREA.

Cryptopia support is aware that the fork has already occurred and will contact their wallet team soon 👍
