You cannot keep anything constant everything has to be cycled same like that only people who sold bitcoin earlier are for sure regret only but the requirement of expenses cannot be stopped also. The great thing about bitcoin is getting its value stronger and more stronger and gold value has been behind bitcoin. Cryptocurrency is the revolution and it is time's requirement to accept the changes in currency world.

Nothing can stop Bitcoin right now as it grows everyday. Those that sold their Bitcoin and lose hope, and those people who didn't believe in Bitcoin, they have much regret because they let the opportunity to pass unto them. Bitcoin is truly worth more than ounces of Gold.
Even I have sold a major part of my Bitcoin stash. And you are right. I used to think about it every day. But now I have realized that I need to carry on, despite those setbacks. I am happy with what I got. Even now, my coin holdings are quite significant when compared to the others. I now believe that I am one of those lucky guys out there. |

Holding Bitcoin for long term does not mean we need to hold forever. Sometimes, I need to have money for my life, so, I sold my Bitcoin and accept the rates I had sold. Of course, we do not know the future. If the price of Bitcoin drop down after I sold it, am I lucky?  |

Yes it is possible that bitcoin can defeat the gold. As we all know that gold is already stable in its price, if it will increase, only in a small amount, but in bitcoin its volatility feature makes bitcoin reaches the highest value than what gold has, Bitcoin may defeat the price of gold if bitcoin value will continue to go higher.

During the early days of 2017 itself we have surpassed the value of gold. This doesn't mean that gold has been defeated. Bitcoin in terms of growth and profitability has reached the minds of people who wish to take risk and have fun and gold has won hearts of common people who wish to have a small profit but expect security on their holding.

True that the value of bitcoin has overtaken gold, however if you see the total amount of gold circulating in the market versus the total amount of bitcoin in the market, this total value would be way ahead as compared to bitcoins

Yes i do agree that bitcoin price already pass over gold price in just a short time. Right now gold price is low than bitcoins price, bitcoins already exceeds gold price and bitcoins price compared to gold price, bitcoin price is 16 times higher than gold price as of now and these big difference happens in just 9 months since it started to cross over gold price and still keeps higher and higher as the time passes and still doesn't reach its fixed price. |

I think that this is true that bitcoin already defeated gold because the people are now transferring and going into bitcoin because they realized that there is a higher chance for them to make a lot of profit by investing in bitcoin and not in the stock market and other type of investment like the precious metals like gold and silver.

Yes its true that bitcoin surpass gold price. Bitcoin has unbelievable fast increasing price. Is bitcoin could reach $25k by the end of thia year. Bitcoin has unpredictable price if it getting low or high.
But bitcoin has a forever?? I assure gold has forever but bitcoin I couldn't say that.

in this era, virtual payment is very useful, even for investing or for payments itself. gold is just material sometimes hard to extract to money and passive income. Bitcoin is better

Yes bitcoin has defeated gold because this currency people take for a good investment. Gold is better but not like bitcoin, bitcoin is now another level. I think in future no other crypto currency has not defeated bitcoin, and also some valuable things are defeated by bitcoin.

This means nothing, instead you should probably compare the marketcap. where the gold marketcap is currently $7,422,335,235,457 (yes trillions) and bitcoin is 20$ billion. Gold exists for thousands of years now and It won't simply lose It value because bitcoin came to life. In my opinion, nothing could actually beat gold and silver, no matter how much year passes.
Good point. Also, it's very difficult to compare these two assets because they are totally different from each other. It's like comparing a legend to a baby. Gold has been in circulation and has seen its value skyrocket ever since the first traders have seen how valuable it would become. On the other hand, bitcoin is just a sprout in its starting stages, and although it has been present for I think a decade or so, it would still undergo lots of changes that would shape how it will be in the future. The good evidence that it has yet to realize its potential is the fact that it's always changing in value as supposed to gold that has reached the peak of its potential with not so much change in value in the recent years. |

yes really bitcoin defeated gold ever since gold is much higher than btc the price of gold before is more higher than btc but now nobody can beat btc because bitcoin now is higher than gold so earn a lot more btc for your success. |
