Hello boys and girls.

Can someone please explain what VARIANCE means on mature blocks?
I noticed some have 3% while other might have 270%.

Thank you very much!

Estimated time to find a new block is 100% - less than this means your pool was lucky so you get in shorter time the same profit, above 100% means your pool was not lucky and it took longer to find new block so your profit is less.
e.g. you could mine 1 DBIX per day @ 100%, if your average variance is 200% you would just get 0.5 DBIX, if your average variance is 50% you would get 2.0 DBIX

of course there are other dependencies too like if you are on PPLNS with low value and you are somewhere far at the bottom of the miner list with poor mining power, ....

No, don't do it. If you want to change pool you have to wait until you mine 1DBIX, which takes A LOT OF TIME.

Even on 180 MH/s it will take 2 days at least.

What's got that to do with the decrease in price? It fired from 20 dollars to 45-50 in a matter of hours, do you  really think that was normal? It's only natural that it corrected itself and the price is still very high compared to 2-3 days ago. If it goes up fast, it will come down fast.

and the diff went from 90 to 150 in that 2 days Wink
the correction was simply because 2 days no miner was able to sell his new mined DBIX and than they came more or less in bulk and some just throw them away for 0.012 as this was still a profit of ~ $ 5 for a 1070 (more than you make with something like ETH or ZEC now)

True. So it has nothing to do with the DBIC stuff. It's still holding up very nice after the correction. I wish I can mine too Cheesy
