im sure that everyone would have thought of this at least once at some time or the other,
what is the meaning of our existence?
are we created by the gods of various religions or by some unnamed god on some random whim?
could we be living inside another world(the matrix basically)?
are we to live everyday to ultimately die?
.
.
this got me intrigued and thinking,i'm sure that many people have different opinions and different answers,so post em up,i want to know ur different opinions and answers .

I'd love to be in the matrix and be Neo though.  But I think if this was the matrix, why not just have people be what they want? Honestly, if this was indeed a virtual world which was just created for purposes of harvesting our organs for power then I think the robots should be really doing a shitty job. Just give us what we "think" we want we would more likely be producing more power. LOL |

It's a difficult question. We are all here to check who of us is better and to make this world a better place to live. The reality is another one, we are destroying this world with our crimes against the environment. I don't know why we are here but it is a beautiful world to live in.

If birds and animals know what they are living for, then a person should also know. First of all, life is for the sake of your own and your children's lives. This is the first truth to be learned. And then we must desire this world better. |

Difficult question. The meaning of life in achieving goals. Without goals and desires, life turns into a boring, meaningless existence. We come to earth, trying to find the meaning of life, and again we leave.

The philosophy courses I took studied the ancient and renascence thinkers who did not address true ethics and life choices (and wrote a few articles about that for https://www.upwork.com/ and http://dissertationwriter.org/) So many people go into a career or life in general without thinking of the good or harm their work can do. Most of us can choose a career that makes the world better simply by the work we do. I'm not talking about making lots of money and then giving it away through philanthropy. However, I do admire successful people who use their skills and money to support worthy causes, such as Bill Gates in his work to lessen the burden of disease in poor countries. In contrast, others amass fortunes to denigrate the less fortunate or to sow doubt about real challenges we should all face, such as climate change, to selfishly protect their fortunes. |
