Glad to see ZEN up nearly 4% today while the overall market's down by about the same amount. I was nervous earlier, although I did not let on. I'm feeling increasingly comfortable with the outlook for ZEN here.

Read the white paper to see the improvements over zcash: https://zensystem.io/They are bootstrapping this project (No ICO); the higher the price of ZEN, the more money they have to pay employees. Business/marketing/Financial people running the company; they’re hiring the programmers (some volunteers). They’re not going to build it and hope they come, they will seek out the people/organizations who want this type of currency. Charles Hoskinson, co-founder and ex CEO of Ethereum is supporting this project. The price has been pummeled (for various reasons) and is very cheap now. It’s only been out for a month so all the accomplishments are yet to come.

That's not trolling at all. At a certain price point, I'd personally invest in both, and some other coins in the privacy category. At $30 Zcash was a great buy, at $400 less so, it's now down to $280 or somewhere. But given the inflation (in both coins, mind) I'd be pretty scared of $250 worth of downside risk. Personally I see ZEN at $5 having a better balance of upside and downside risk. I'd certainly say invest in Zcash, just not at the present price and I suppose it may never drop to a price low enough that I'd be comfortable buying. i may sound like a troll for this question but
why invest in zencash if you can invest in zcash?

42, yes. But the secure nodes are not even close to be implemented, yet. The picture above isn't true. I'd expect the secure nodes to be live in Q4 2017 in my own personal opinion.

I sent my 42 zen to a wallets receiving address. Only after that I realized that the syncing was not done but showing nan. So did I lose them forever? I like to think I just need to set up a working wallet and use the receiving address and the funds will end up there. Is it so? Gah, tried multiple wallets and eleos either seems to work but does nothing or throws errors at me. I am running windows 7 64-bit, dunno maybe I'll try another pc somewhere. Stressful.

I fell like a dumb I bought 170 zen to 15/18$ by unit dammm!! I think you’ll make your money back at some piont. The fifth ‘Blockchain incredible Party’ took place in Ukraine several days ago. One of the largest events of its kind in eastern Europe: https://iohk.io/blog/blockchain-in-ukraine/Among the speakers were Charles Hoskinson CEO of IOHK, Rob Viglione Co-Founder and Core Team of Zencash, and Professor Roman Oliynykov of IOHK Veritas………All part of Zencash. Hoskinson talked of the cryptocurrency bubble to which he hopes will wipe out the scam coins; interesting that he’s a big supporter of Zencash. Oliynykov Talks about a mechanism that provides a pool of funding that allows communities rather than an individual to make decisions; interesting that Zencash just created a non-profit to make decisions as a group instead of any individual. Charles Hoskinson is a really big name in the Blockchain space, but have you noticed the other advisor they have onboard? Steven Nerayoff, he is a serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist. Here is a quote from him: “I'm very selective on who I attach my name to in an official capacity. I focus my efforts on companies I believe will dominate their portion of the crypto sector” Research the people involved in this company – some pretty big names. Research how they are setting this up in the early stages – They are laying the groundwork for Zencash to be here when many of the other coins are worthless or just gone. Research what they are building – Unlike some of the other coins that target specific groups, this one is applicable to everyone; individuals, corporations, various organizations, countries, etc. Also, they are not starting from scratch, they are taking the core of a successful program and improving it. I’m terrible at buying in at the bottom which is why I’m not a trader. And I’m like some of the others here, I’m in at a higher price and get tired of the price going down and seeing a sea of red when looking at the market history. What I have noticed though is that the sellers are generally small (but there seems to be an infinite amount of them) while there are many large buyers at the bid accumulating and willing to wait. I’ve got to admit though, I’m tired of seeing red; I’m ready to see green. The company is going to have to prove themselves before buying really starts in earnest.

With the bubble this big, it will wipe out quite a big portion of all coins capitalization, so ZEN brace yourself! Just kidding , I hope not, but we must go down quite a bit to have one again balance between hopes and reality.

Hey guys, could anyone confirm if I will be able to receive my zen using the address they were sent to from bittrex when I finally get eleos working on this or some other pc or are they lost for ever? This is reaally bugging me, tried to get many different versions to sync today with no luck. :/

The address I used for my zen is in the list too, the client seems to be doing fine with the wallet file. I'll let it sync now and see if the funds appear, i think so. If not I'll come to slack for help. ^^ EDIT: This wallet synced and worked perfectly, my funds arrived safely! Sorry for the panic
