Hi there, first of all, I think this is a very promising project. I'm currently mining Solaris and also bought some on Cryptopia. I have a few questions, though.

When I first downloaded the Windows wallet, it didn't start synchronizing automatically and said there were "0 active connections". I solved it by creating the .conf file, but why is it happening in the first place? It makes the coin look a bit unprofessional and could be a turnoff for more casual users.

I'd also like to recommend creating a subreddit and perhaps get on some other social media, a sense of community around the coin will increase it's worth in the eyes of a potential investor researching the coin.

Other than that I'd like to thank the developer for staying very active and I hope he'll continue to do the great job he's doing.

I decided to run my own wallet today and also ran into the no synchronization issue. After the .conf file is created, how long should I expect it to still say "out of sync"? I don't see any indication that it's making any progress at this point.

Delete everything on the wallet folder EXCEPT for your wallet.dat then open wallet again. it'll create the deleted folder/files again and resync to the latest block

Left it on for a while and now it has updated all the blocks, finally!

The devs really need to update the wallet with a loading bar to let the user know it is syncing and updating.

I agree to say that NIST5 is what makes Solaris an interesting coin.

I think so too, I was all for masternodes but the more I read up on them I think that they are just for the rich people and the small guys miss out. Most dev's use it just to build hype and to raise the price of their coins so now I'm not that Solaris should have masternodes. Just keep on releasing developments and something that people need.

It depends on how you set the ratio of staking vs masternode reward.
It is going to be bad deal for small guys if the gap is too big.
But can make it relatively affordable in required coin numbers and allow only 1 mn per ip to be fair as much as possible.

With standard masternodes our coin can be still mineable.  With the  newest masternodecoin (core base 12.2) we can get PoS coin only. What you think about that?

Yes I already know all this as I have been following this coin for many months now. When masternodes we mentioned the price didn't pump like it did in the last 24 hours. There has been talk of masternodes for many weeks now, I was surprised to see the price pump like it did when no news was even mentioned in here.

You should keep an eye on the volume. It is difficult to accumulate lowcaps without pushing the price, since there is not much movement in the market. I think someone just bought XLR for later purpose.
