Everything seems like it is going ok except I don't understand this raise money for listing thing. Bittrex does not have paid listings. Have you talked to anyone over there before you decided to start raising money for "listing"?

Can someone explain to me what makes Solaris;
1. "the lowest power consumption" do GPU's mine in idle, or is the power consumption a few percent less than running say, scrypt? does anyone have figures?
2. "fairly distributed" is it not a case of those with the most equipment and hash power, will get the biggest reward?
Honestly not trying to be a dick, just wanted to know. Because i can't seem to see what makes Solaris special, apart from a different mining algo.

I was sure there was a 3BTC fee , to clarify that I wrote to bittrex support , we will see. Honestly not trying to be a dick, just wanted to know.
NIST5 is consisted of Blake, Groestl, JH, Keccak and Skein hash functions. . A big benefit of this algorithm is the fact it mining temperatures drop a lot, which is good think during the summer. More info you will find there : http://nvlpubs.nist.gov/nistpubs/ir/2012/NIST.IR.7896.pdf , http://www.sersc.org/journals/IJSIA/vol9_no12_2015/34.pdf , http://homes.esat.kuleuven.be/~eandreev/africa.pdf

The 3 BTC fee you are thinking of is basically an option for already chosen coins that allows them to become a "spotlight" coin but it doesn't cause a coin to be listed. I could be mistaken. Thanks for sending them a message to check.

i understand why you need more miners but i dont care about more miners because the less miners the more XLR are for me and keep mining them like the algorithm of the coin and it is has a stable wallet lets see what the future brings but for now it is stable and i like that and offcourse more miners is more intrest for the coin so yes MINE XLR

Price decides hashrate.
Smart miners wont mine at a loss... So if you want miners, you must get investors to rise the price. Miners will come to get profits... they wont come to lose money.

Hi! I have a question regarding linux wallet.
So, i cloned your repo, had some fun building it ( too few arguments to function UPNPDev* ), had to add parameter to upnpDiscover call, but finally i have built it! Now i have another problem:
trying connection node1.solariscoin.com lastseen=0.0hrs connect() failed after select(): Connection refused trying connection node2.solariscoin.com lastseen=0.0hrs connect() failed after select(): Connection refused
in debug.log, and thus my db doesn't get synced.
nslookup says that
** server can't find node1.solariscoin.com: NXDOMAIN ** server can't find node2.solariscoin.com: NXDOMAIN
So either your nodes are down, or i can't find them through DNS.
Could you, please, at least provide me IP's to your nodes.
Thank you!

Thank you, but i could not get client to work with any of these IPs. Just noticed that linux client wasn't updated since the first commit, so probably i'll just wait for update.

I tried to install the wallet on a Linux system but without success. Basically, I have a wallet on my Win 7 OS all working correctly, but fews days ago I installed some Win 7 updates and since I can not boot anymore LOL I guess it's message from microsoft telling me something? For me now, no microsoft anymore! I am using a dual boot system, so from the second partition I tried to use Wine to install solaris wallet but not able. Reading @starl1ng it seems more difficult than that.
