Hey guys, thank you very much for the masternode tutorial, i followed it and managed to run mine.
So far so good its working without any issues, but i have some questions regarding the wallet when you run the masternode.
If i send coins from my wallet that masternode is in it, will it takes the coins from the 1000 XLR collateral?
Are the masternode collateral locked?

Few examples:

1. If i have 1340 coins and i want to send 350 what will happen?
2. If i have 1340 coins and send 340 exactly from where will it take the fee?
3. If i have 1340 coins and want to send 200, does it know to not touch the masternode collateral?

The questions maybe are stupid, but i never had wallet with masternode collateral in it and i'm not sure what i'm allowed to do.

If you have 1k left after you send out coins, you will be fine.

I think people are looking at mnrank or masternode websites that display the ROI. Indeed, as more masternodes come online, the ROI per mn goes down until it's below 100%. If a coin lives long enough, this approaches zero.

I saw some absurd coins that start at 8000% ROI, then in a matter of a few days it's down to below 100%.

That's pretty normal because of the low MN count for new coins

I always recommend leaving at least 1 coin in there because of that exact reason I don't want to screw up the collateral but you can withdraw funds and continue business as usual I just wouldn't cut it that close tbh. I believe the fee is removed from the current balance when you send the coins, but tbh I never really paid attention to it. Like I know some wallets you have the ability to chose that option but when you go to the send screen it doesn't have the usual checkbox to do that so I could be wrong and it may deduct from the remaining balance, can anyone confirm what it does?

If you go to settings/wallet/options

then tick the enable coin control features then click OK

Now go to Send and then inputs

then on your masternode if it HASN'T got a padlock beside it then tick the box and click 'toggle lock state' and then OK and it should then have a padlock by it, If it already has one then you don't need to do it.

This should stop those coins from being sent and it will use others, I've not tried sending anymore coins that would leave me less than 1000 but I've sent them down to just over 1000 and it's always used the other coins and not masternode collateral when I've done the above. I believe you will need to do the opposite to the above to unlock the (masternode) coins so you can sell the coins if you wanted to do that later down the line.

Yes, i see that there is a lock pad already on the masternode collateral, so i'm guessing that they are locked as long as the masternode is running.
Also i cant click on them to unlock anyway, because they are grayed out.

Thanks for all the help guys, cheers!

It seems to be a stupid bug. We need masternodes to update to a patched version for the chain to move (it's not my lucky day today). Also I don't know what I'm doing. There might be some other problems with reserve payments.

Here's my quick fix

https://github.com/frkl/Solaris

Also I saw 3 attempts to propagate blocks with correct rewards in debug.log. So it's possible that someone has moved ahead.

Pretty sure we need a patched masternode to confirm the blocks. I don't have a masternode.

EDIT: Compiling...
EDIT 2: Cloning latest, greatest to another mn also. First is still compiling, clean build.
EDIT 3: Both are compiling... 1st should be done soon...
EDIT 4:
Code:
gBlocks:~/XLR/Solaris/src$ solarisd: main.cpp:2298: bool ConnectBlock(const CBlock&, CValidationState&, CBlockIndex*, CCoinsViewCache&, bool): Assertion `hashPrevBlock == view.GetBestBlock()' failed.

[1]+  Aborted                 (core dumped) ./solarisd
... attempting resync...
EDIT 5: it is a vps with loads of bandwidth. it will sync up fast and is... 2nd still building....
EDIT 6:
Code:
{
    "overall" : "Successfully started 1 masternodes, failed to start 0, total 1",
    "detail" : {
        "status" : {
            "alias" : "MN",
            "result" : "successful"
        }
    }
}
"blocks" : 43200,  "connections" : 16
EDIT 7: 1st mn started and is running. Starting 2nd now...
EDIT 8: "status" : "Masternode successfully started"    on both. Both at "blocks" : 43200 still.
EDIT 9: debug.log: "2017-11-08 03:56:34 mnb - Got NEW Masternode entry - f505..."   both masternodes are aware of eachother.
EDIT 10: now both are progressing.

Well, Solaris price has stayed around $1 recent days. I really believe that it will surpass $2 again in the near future. We are strong, active community along with great, active team of developers.
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/solaris/
Addtionally, as a condition for price movement, we need to list Solaris on other bigger exchanges.

C++ student? Again, I don't know what I'm doing. I see an error message, I follow the if statement printing that error message.

It's more than 40% of Solaris has been locked in masternodes. It's very interesting signal for the coin. Furthermore, ZeroSolaris has been launched. Let's make Solaris great.
