I am not sure why there are 2 threads about this. The other thread has way more people responding, so if anyone is only checking this thread they may miss out. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1894530.0

UPDATE got by email:
Dear CoinDash contributors,

It is unfortunate for us to announce that we have suffered a hacking attack during our Token Sale event. During the attack $7 Million were stolen by a currently unknown perpetrator. The CoinDash Token Sale secured $6.4 Million from our early contributors and whitelist participants and we are grateful for your support and contribution.

CoinDash is responsible to all of its contributors and will send CDTs reflective of each contribution. Contributors that sent ETH to the fraudulent Ethereum address, which was maliciously placed on our website, and sent ETH to the CoinDash.io official address will receive their CDT tokens accordingly. Transactions sent to any fraudulent address after our website was shut down will not be compensated.

This was a damaging event to both our contributors and our company but it is surely not the end of our project. We are looking into the security breach and will update you all as soon as possible about the findings.

The CoinDash vision, product and team will continue to live on. We will be fast to recover and we will create the future of trading.

Reminder: We are still under attack. Please do not send any ETH to any address, as the Token Sale has been terminated.

More information will be published on our social channels and our website.

-CoinDash Team

If you sent money before the website turned off (to fake address) - Go to official website and click Claims Forms and fill the form

They said that they will return tokens back...

I think we should not jump to any conclusions yet. They had a working product, so I really doubt if they would even think of doing a scam. Scam is for ppl who have no team aka no product.

I wish Coindash all the best in this hard time !!

Coindash team has done a great job after being hacked, I think we shouldn't take this event as a joke, but should discuss how to prevent this to happen again.

Lets make this the official thread.   Wink

I must say it is really stupid to lock the thread in the mist of sending out information about the token burn trade-in for the new tokens.  Wouldn't you want as many outlets as possible to communicate to the investors to send in their old tokens???  Huh

I don't get how they are doing anything.

They have enough outlets in telegram and slack, no point of being crucified here just to deliver messages...

But why they left bitcointalk. When they want to raise funds then they preferred bitcointalk,

now when problem came and user asking question they left the forum.

This is not professional way to handle crisis.

I couldn't even join Slack because of their revamped website (also slack asked for coindash.io email.  no clue where to get) to find the burning information.  I had to get it off another slack channel i was in, who kindly passed it to me, prior to them putting it on twitter.

Pretty shitty thing to do.

Not saying all decisions they are making are the best (neither am I saying they are bad), but from what I have seen it looks like they are trying very hard to actually still make something out of the project.
Although it might not look that way if whatever decision of the decisions they make immediately affects you in an unpleasant way of course.
