It's not just you

I took that test version offline.

I've had a bit of an issue with Microsoft Azure the past few weeks.
Lets just say their service isn't going to be the ideal choice for the new website.

So I've decided to rewrite (again) the backend in NodeJS, change database away from MSSQL and use a different cloud/hosting provider.
I will also be switching to Linux instead of Windows servers. (only took 4 years dooglus )

This sounds like a big change but it won't slow down the development as much as you might think.

I will give updates in here and put a new test site up once I have changed everything over.

Wow. This means lots of rewrite.
I think you are more familiar with MS technologies so it will be hard for you to migrate to Linux platform, but I'm sure it will pay off in long term.

Changing backend sql to something else is not as hard as changing the front end code if you ask me. Changing from javascript to php is a lot (I mean A LOT) harder than changing the backend databse from mssql to mysql.

Yeah true. I'm also changing the ASP.NET and C# code to NodeJs and moving away from Azure (which I relied on their queue service before) to another cloud platform.

It's going well and to be honest a lot easier than I expected.

It is a big change and so i guess it might take some time for the site to be back depending upon the time you are able to spend for the site,what happened to old sites,it was a lot easier to relaunch everything and make some minor tweeks and good to see that you are taking an effort to start everything from scratch,i would like to know what made you to move away from Azure .

It's going well and to be honest a lot easier than I expected.

I am of the opinion that it would be more nice and kind of being more clients conscious if you can try to notify the community if there will be any upgrade on this site and why its going to offline for a particular period of time and when its going to be back online this will save unnecessary speculations in a case where you are not available to respond to enquiries raised by user who visited during down times.

Are you currently working alone on your website? Because so much coding in so much languages is very difficult task (I think so).
Your website was good for dice and also very known to my mind. Why so many changes in coding if you are going to still make dice?
Also to my mind Betking sounds better on sports betting website, will be happy if I'll see this in future. Wish you success.
