Greetings!

SEC investigates the DAO token sale case

Following the publication of the SEC Report of Investigation of the
DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) (Release #81207 July 25,
2017), SONM Team needs to address this issue accordingly on whether it
would affect SONM’s future development and the listing of its tokens
on relevant crypto exchanges.

Since the SONM Team has no capacity to construe SEC regulations nor to
anticipate their extended oversight in the blockchain market, the
following statements are merely an opinion.

As the SEC Report mainly addresses the issues of application of the
U.S. federal securities laws to the offer and sale of DAO tokens, it
is worth mentioning that during SONM’s token sale:

a. no DAO entity and/or any other similar blockchain-enabled entity
had been employed by SONM for capital raising;

b. no DAO tokens had been publicly offered to investors during the
ICO campaign;

c. the SONM tokens, distributed at the ICO, are not DAO tokens in nature.
Therefore, we do not see any threat to the development of the SONM
projects. In addition, having long-term plans for participation in the
market of blockchain technologies, we highly appreciate the SEC
official clarifications, which make the “rules of the game” more
explicit and predictable.

There's so much nonsense in this thread it's just hard to believe, people looking to buy more coins or to invest in this coin should look somewhere else for reliable information about what's going on.

I am still hoping that the price would bounce back when the project starts rolling,it is a bit disappointing to see the price of SONM really low,but i am really waiting to hear from the developers about the status of the project,until then we have to bear with the lower prices we have at the moment and i am at a loss right now,hoping for a turnaround in the future.

The report is bigger than The DAO, The DAO just happened to be the specific example they used to get their pt across.  If you think they're only concerned about DAO tokens, you'll have another thing coming.

This is an industry wide issue, and not just a SONM issue.  It was a given the SEC was going to respond to the craziness that's going on with ICOs at some pt, so this isn't a big surprise.  Now let's see how it unfolds from here.

same here, im still holding some of my sonm tokens which i got in social media campaign.. and i dont want to dump mu tokens at today's price.

Some people who have SONM either from ICO or bounty prefer to hold their coins for a normal price later. Because it is very loss if they sell their coins at a price far below the price of ICO. They average hold coins until segwit done, because segwit many altcoin prices down.

They are working seriously and want to appear with some good news in hands that's why we see them less active here and full time busy with development. Anyways it will not take long time to see some updates to push the market over the ICO price once again. I expect at fair price range in next weeks between 10k to 15 k satoshi.

I don't think the price will be 10-15k in the next few weeks.The price is 1/3 of ICO and to improve it needs some updates from the team and also the BTC scaling factor coming into the picture which will again not allow the price to rise.

10-15k is possible by the end of this year.
