I think people sold because they were waiting for a pump before the release of the MVP and didn't see one.

They then waited to see what the Christmas "gift" was and must have become disappointed so they became disheartened and dumped all their tokens.

Christmas gift is only MVP test net? So disappointed for some guys.

We have a working product right now.
The alpha version is enormous step!

If you don't know what the project is about then better don't invest or start reading and understanding what those guys just managed to release.

I like the fact that it reached this value with actually 0 marketing and the potential is huge.

I am really thankful for the effort the sonm team is making.
At some point I thought about investing somewhere else, but I kept my tokens and believe me after this release there is no chance I sell them.

Are you talking about Bitcoin pump? Looking at sonm chart since Jun-19 and current value of 2900 sats is much lower than previous spikes of 4000+ sats and 6000+ sats.

It is great step towards mainnet because testnet means we are one more but vert important step closer to see this project becoming reality. 6k sat is quite reasonable price for SONM, which delivered not only white paper but also real product.
