Hi
Can anyone help me if there is something missing or doing wrong during the set up because I got a weird hashate
ok I got 3 MSI rx 570 4 GB (Elpida), 1 MSI Rx 580 4 GB (Elpida), 1 Asus Rx 580 8 GB (samsung), I set the virtual mem to 40 GB, window 10 version 1709
and I'm using AMD blockchain driver released on August 2017,  4G encoding enabled, PCI speed is gen 2 cuz I'm using Asus Z270 AR,
and all cards only run at 14 mh/s at stock, is it suppose to run at 19-20 mh/s at stock ? Thanks, I really appreciate

Supposed to run at 21-22.x at stock.  Are you supplying enough power to all the cards?  Troubleshoot card by card.

I think its a driver issue, if i m correct you need the latests radeon driver for Windows 1709 because old radeon drivers with this udpate of Windows creators failed to correct the DAG file problem (which is the initial purpose of blockchain drivers).
Remember after installing the new driver to go into the application / gamings settings and to set each card to compute mode (instead of graphic mode by default). have no fear of doing it as the latest drivers (nov 27th if i remember correctly) include the blockchain driver by selecting the compute mode

I'm getting 31.6 MH/s steady on 4 cards with ethOS.

Sapphire Nitro+ 4GB

core = 1280
mem = 2200
powertune = 7
miner = claymore
voltage = 0.7

My problem is I need another power cable from my PSU for the risers on the 5th and 6th cards. Hopefully it'll arrive soon!

0.7V and 1280MHz core clock, are you sure about this?

Hi, will high powertune (yours is 7, my is 5, I have no idea what it is about) require more power consumption? Or heat? What are your temps of GPUs with this setting? And also your fan speeds and room temp? Thanks.

Hi All,

super noob here and just started to set up my first rig (actually one GPU only, still waiting for the raiser to run all 6) with Sapphier RX570 8Gb Samsung memory.

I did test it out of the box and had 23.6-9mh/s and 143w power consumption.

Did the regular bios modding where you can find 100drets videos on youtube and managed between 27-28mh/3 but power still +130w.

I tried a different modification and got 28.6mh/z at 108w and I wanted to push the mh/z a bit further and did the following.

I did play around with trixx until I was ftp://happy and did adjust the values of clock speed, undervolting and memory clock speed in bios editor and flushed the new bios on my cards and now running stable around 29.6mh/s and ~120w, are this good values or can I reduce the power consumption further, or are the 12w more power consumption not worth the additional 1mh/s and I should go back to the 28.6mh/s at 108w.

Looking forward to some replies

cheers

Do the math 28.6/108 vs 29.6/120.  If numbers are close.  Higher hash rate will be better since you'll mine the coins faster that way.  Provided both are stable.

ok makes sense, in general are this values good on a 570 or am I using too much power, i have seen videos where guys reach around 80w at 26mh/s

If you want to go tweaking individual cards, it takes considerable time and effort.  There can be lots of videos out there.  How stable was the 26mh/s @ 80w? was that also recorded?
Here's just a dirty 1000+ h/s on Monero.  That's an RX580 Nitro+ with Elpida memory.

Hi, may i ask what are your settings and are they the same for Ethash and Cryptonight :

1/ in bios : you modded only memory straps ? if not what max core clock and voltage, same for P3 memory state

2/ other modifications either in bios (TDP for example) or using AB, wattool or other (mem clock etc.)

In my case my settings are made directly in bios after benching the card, generally i can always set max core clock at 1080 for 900mV, but i in too much cases i cannot set the memory clock to 2000 (worse i had is 1850). Strange thing though even at 1850 mem clock i can dual at 26MH + 60 MH lbry and i usually set TDP and max W at 110 in bios, resulting in a small economy of around 10 15w
Though my settings are bad for cryptonight (i do not car for now)

Halo
I only use Mod file bios from https://anorak.tech/t/dataland-rx-570-4gb-hynix/26553 and flash this bios file, i not change anything ( OC, change mem clock, or modification voltage )
For cryptonight, i use Cast XMR ( found at : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2256917.0 )
Cryptonight 65 C temp and ethash about 75 C temp with 85% Fan speed

I see that by now it has become a fashion to ask for money, btc, eth, to share a bios with the community, the man and the greedy, poor world

 Angry Angry Angry Angry
Just get the Polaris 1.6 fork and save your Eth
https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditor
It detects your card memory and applies optimal timings for your card, better then just copying straps down from 1500. Also make sure to back up your Rom as always.

Unfortunately, yes, and mostly in those private messages, like they never used help from someone before. :S

Just want to thank you for sharing the info about the latest PolarisBiosEditor.  i really appreciate it.

Ok so I will add some real measurements
570 samsung (multiple examples)
eth only
29.5
internet wall consumption: 93-110w
gpu-z:82
real wall consumption: 121w
vaious cvdd: 840-900
cclok: 1200
mclock: 2080-2100
mvdc: 865-885

Now my issues:
windows:
i did not found any command line OC tool
i did not found any OC tool that could set voltage for gpu and memory - even the generic voltage settings in trixx are super weird and afterburner does not work
cards run quite stable, but once a 3 days one can reset, then wattman gets error or something and resets the card and hashrate is 25
if i restart claymore then i get to 28
if i restart pc then i get back to 29.5
if i connect new card to the pc it gets about 28
if i restart pc then i get new card to the 29.5
If power is lost and pc forcefully resets i get 25
If i soft restart pc then i get to 28
another restart back to 29.5
- how can i avoid these restart and get stable performance?

Claymore OC only woks with 17.30 drivers, anything newer  and i can't OC
Fan still shuts off with -fanmin 50 and -tt 55 - should i just not specify "tt" to make it run all the time?

I can't use RPD, if i use it claymore does not OC.
There is funny but in AMD 17.12(17.50) AMD drivers - that amd settings throws out dll erros related to windows media feature pack on windows 10 N.
Amd settings does not work on VNC without real display being connected.

linux:
Is there any commandline working OC tool for linux?
I get +20w power consumption on same bios in linux - is this normal? (latest gpu-pro drivers with the thingy in grub set)
I get lower hashrate in linux at the same time - is this normal?
Claymore OC does not work for me in linux.

Mostly i'm concerned about super weird reset behavior on windows - that is super frustrating.
If it is possible to get AMD working on linux with OC that would be awesome Smiley - generic linux - debian/arch/ubuntu server

Have you flashed the BIOS, this will get you some more h/s, if not then try this for starters, use the 'one click' option (not sure if 570's are supported).

Note: Backup original BIOS first, this is most important.

I also changed the memory straps and get only 25mhs with the 570 and 27.5mhs with the 580 Rx. Both are 4gb versions.
I think next step is to adjust voltage and MHz?

Hi,

Maybe someone can shed a light on this.

I am rocking a 12x RX 570 PowerColor Red dragon 4GB.

After modded bios, with adrenaline driver, only getting max 27mh/s. Then while mining, it drops sometimes to 10mh for 12 cards, then it goes back up to 240-311mh. It will never stay constant and my ping is above 1000ms most of the time, seldom will be 300ms range. Asia server on nanopool... What am i doing wrong? And msi afterburner cant seem to control the fan speeds..

I'm at my first attempt of building a small rig and I need your help.
I have to choose between these two graphic cards:
Sapphire Radeon RX 570 Pulse 4GB GDDR5 256bit 11266-04-20g
and
Gigabyte Radeon RX 570 Gaming 4GB GDDR5 256bit gv-rx570gaming-4gd
Which of them is better on hashrate, stability etc ?
What kind of memory do they have? Most say that they both have hynix mem, but i want to make sure
I appreciate any information you can give me.
Thanks!

Sapphire is better built.  But gigabyte has 3 yrs warranty while sapphire has 2yrs.

On my Vega 64s I am getting stabe 43Mh/s with 130W withtout any BIOS mod.

I just got the MSI Armor 570 4GB with Hynix memory.
Now without any BIOS mod I am getting 20Mh/s.
GPU Clock 1000
Mem clock 1100

Do u think I will be able to push this card to 30Mh/s with BOIS mod with around 100W??

Please advice. Otherwise I might as well return it and get something else that u guys will recommend.

Advice is much appreciated.

Thanks
