Roadmap Update

As previously mentioned, we are making great progress in the development of the EquiTrader platform and the social trading engine. However, up until now, we have only been giving promises with nothing but words, and have yet to show you anything concrete.

Thank you, that's a very good question...

You will probably be familiar with expectations from a traditional investment environment. If someone buys a stock, they either expect to earn from capital gains, or from receiving regular dividends from the company. Or if you make a VC type investment in a company, or a crowdfunding campaign like kickstarter or banktothefuture, one would probably expect at least some freebies, a product, or some value in return for your early investment.

But if we were to redesign investments today with blockchain technology, suddenly the possibilities become endless, and one is limited only by his imagination. Just touching the tip of the iceberg, tokenization enables decentralization of shares and direct ownership of a company, bypass centralized stock exchanges and other intermediaries, while smart contracts could automate dividends payments to shareholders at far shorter intervals such as weekly or daily.

Though it is still too early to set this in stone, we definitely do have several plans to reward investors and owners of the EQT token in the long run. The EquiTrader project is first and foremost a business, and the EquiTrader subscription-based platform will be our first source of monetization and revenue stream, and will enable us to provide a form of reward to investors.

There are many ways to go about doing so, and possibilities include:

• Setting aside part of the revenue into a pooled fund to pay dividends to investors, much like how Proof-of-stake or Masternodes would work.
• Introducing a deflationary supply mechanism, by burning EQT tokens that are used to pay for any EquiTrader services such as the subscription fees for the platform.
• Providing early investors with free access to early alpha and beta testing, and free subscriptions for the first few months after going live.
