Cool writeup, WalrusFeatures.  I might get to it later this week.

BTW, the suprnova pool appears to have switched to the new algo.

JoeRigs, I think the maximum stake age is 30 days.  See page 32 (post 621) for the post about algo swap.

In the Minting Tab, my mint probability is 100% but the miner stake icon is still grey.

How do i rectify this issue?

I was also having a problem with staking.  Try adding the following to your EquiTrader.conf file.

Code:
addnode=103.252.200.54
addnode=109.202.103.170
addnode=172.110.20.126
addnode=184.164.129.202
addnode=184.75.238.226
addnode=185.13.39.106
addnode=188.212.103.141
addnode=37.187.146.34
addnode=46.160.230.110
addnode=46.4.64.68
addnode=5.80.205.127
addnode=5.9.10.66
addnode=51.179.108.249
addnode=66.110.245.44
addnode=66.222.134.146
addnode=73.9.45.12
addnode=82.223.11.131
addnode=84.234.52.190
addnode=87.98.142.204
addnode=88.208.49.200
addnode=99.136.81.115

I now have at least one input for staking.  Hope this helps!

Thank you very much, I'll try this tonight, Do you know if we need to split coins into some generated adresses to stake better like in C2V for exemple ?

EquiTrader will shift from Proof-Of-Work to Proof-Of-Stake + Proof-Of-Work Algorithm .

Details :

Algorithm Type :-  POW + POS
Hashing Algorithm :- X11
Block Time :- 120 Secs
Block Reward ( POW ) :- 20
Block Reward Halving Rate :- 50,000 Blocks
PoS Interest per year :- 30%
Minimum Stake Age :- 1 Day
Maximum Stake Age :- 30 Days
Block Size :- 8 MB

This is how many blocks will be generated per day :- 720
The block reward will cut in half every 2.28 months.

A swap will need to be done. More info will be shared soon.

I have a question : Maximum Stake Age :- 30 Days
What happens to the coin after ?

UPDATE

  • Users who have coins at Cryptopia please move those coins to old eqt wallet for manual swaps
  • Our New Website is currently down and would be up again soon
  • We would start contacting exchanges now and would reach out to more exchanges for a better exposure for this we would need community support too

Best Regards
Ohforf

Hi Ohforf, that's great.
Could you shed some light on rectifying the "No suitable input was found" issue? The telegram chat is also filled with this question.

Also, can you please go into the scope of the private beta release? Such as:

(1) is it primarily for platform requirement collection or verification of established requirements?
(2) how many participants will be involved?
(3) how will success of the platform be measured?
(4) what are the fundamental risk areas you foresee and they manageable?
(5) is there anything the community can do to assist?

Peace, NLC

Downloaded wallet from https://github.com/equitrader/Equitrade
When i'm trying to update the wallet address in "Payment Address" field here http://new.altcoinix.com/eqt/public
i'm getting error " Failed to update your account: Invalid coin address"
my address is TVjuqAfXb6BqVKnhLUZuJ75mYGzRmjYxxv

I get the same renting hash - invalid username password. My address also starts with a T   while others I see on the pool all star with E.
What's going on.
You neeed update your wallet new wallet starting E letter

Can you link the new wallet? I've tried the one from page 37, its the only one I can find. It is also the one that Bumbr linked above

Actually its page 36:

 https://github.com/equitrader/Equitrader/blob/master/equitrader-qt-windows.zip

This one only gives letter T (like wallet builders) and its not accepted on the X11 pools.

So where is the latest wallet? We'll all need it for after the swap.

EDIT: Sorry for the spam guys. I think the wallet you want is the one edited 3 days ago, (not the one with qt in the title!).

https://github.com/equitrader/Equitrader/blob/master/equitrader-win.zip

I'm about to test this on the pools, but suspect it will work now

thanks for this. Appears to be working fine for me at the moment.

The beginning of a new era.

I was also having a problem with staking.  Try adding the following to your EquiTrader.conf file....[snip]

I now have at least one input for staking.  Hope this helps!

Thanks, for the info on the max staking period, Skammie.

Regarding the nodes for my .conf file, I tried adding them but it still said "no suitable inputs were found" when I moused over the mining icon. Tried the original .conf file again; same issue.

ohforf, any idea what's going on with the staking?

It's funny, I have the same message but when I enter in the minting tab I found two mature entries. I will let a bit more the wallet opened for stacking to check if it's a bug in the icon behaviour, in the stacking itself or it simply need a lot of time to change the icon state.

Salute

Have you tried a real DEX??? But a real DEX like this!!!

Im worried about the lack of information about how to save the old eqt tokens still on cryptopia. I have downloaded the wallet, opened firewall, added nodes, but wallet refuses to sync, so my tokens are stuck on cryptopia until they are delisted and disappear. can someone help or give some info? its incredible frustrating.

A few words from the dev(s) about this situation would certainly help.

not a dev  Wink

you can help the wallet to sync creating equitrader.conf file and pasting there the info about the reachable nodes:

Code:
addnode=91.121.74.198:12561
addnode=81.2.248.129:12561

I took them from Cryptopia - as far as I understand it's still running an old wallet so the info about the nodes should help.
Under windows, the file should be put inside
Code:
C:\Users\[your_user_name]\AppData\Roaming\Equitrader
folder

even before the wallet fully syncs you can withdraw coins from Cryptopia - you'll see them in your wallet after the synchronization is over.

OK, my wallet appears to be staking now. Maybe it just needed more time?? (It's been about 38 hours since I sent the coins to my wallet. I'm running the original .conf file.)

When I mouse over the mining icon in the new wallet, it says "no suitable inputs were found." I've unlocked the wallet for mining...any idea what that message means or how to fix it?

Also, when I click on the "minting" tab and choose a date range, the number of expected coins goes down when I increase the number of days. (In other words, it predicts I'll earn more coins in 30 days than I'd earn in 60 days; more coins in 60 days than I'd earn in 90 days.) Any thoughts on that?

How did you unlock the wallet for staking? Is there anything else that you did to ensure that the wallet would start staking?

The beginning of a new era.
