How do you deal with loss?

Firstly invest only in what you understand and do not invest or gamble where you dont.
Secondly do not put all your eggs in one basket. diversify it.
Thirdly invest small amount which you are okay if it is invested for a long time or do not get much return or may turn up in a loss.

That are the precautions that should be taken while investing but how we deal with a loss is something else. Usually what I do after a significant loss is that I just start investing/trading more carefully and I do small amounts.

Furthermore, I make a goal in my sight and that is equal to the loss I gave and the first motive is to earn that much before proceeding further.

That is the results of having a loss in trading, it becomes a lesson for us to make things better in our next future trades. All the traders in the markets experiences losses but it is up to them if they will treat those losses as a thing that makes them weaker or stronger. I also experiences losses and same of almost all of us traders here, I do better decisions because of the lessons that i got from losses.

I trade with care. First of all, I have my own limits of selling on negative sides. What I mean is I already know when I have stop the loss if my trade is going down the line. Then only I start trading in first place. With bitcoin I keep different set of rules where loss limit is higher than other trading platforms. Bitcoin is assurance that you will get good profits over the time. So for bitcoins I wait little more and if I think it is not going to be up than the current situation then I will stop the trade. Sometimes I invest double to overcome my loss. But this option is too risky as you might loose double investment. But if you get profit then obviously you get more out of it. So it is really a personal perspective when to trade and how to trade.

yes make sure you always learn from the previous mistake or something that make you failed.

This always depends how much I lost, for some little money I don't even lay attention, I just pass that like nothing happen, I know that learning has a price, but couple times I lost a bit more then I planed and that made me very nervous, I even thought to not trade anymore, but after couple days little by little I start to trade again. I deal better with lose from gambling, I don't know why, but same money lost on gambling will make me less nervous, when I lose that amount on trading I always freak out.

I sometimes wait to go back up again and most of the times I cut the losses quickly. It depends on the technicals. But I try as much as I can to not panic sell.

Loses are really tough in the beginning. But they are a part of trading, so the way I got used to coping with loses is: never invest an amount that I am not willing to lose.  With good bankroll management rules, loses shouldn't affect you anymore, it will be just the cost of doing business (in case you have a trading strategy) or the cost of having fun (in case you are just gambling).

Try to imagine the sum of money that would feel uncomfortable to lose and then trade just a half of it. We all have different tolerance to the amount we are willing to lose.

It's tough when you lose money in trading whether you make a mistake or just have bad luck. It's happened to me, but I've learned to trade mostly Bitcoin and stay away from the minor altcoins. You just have to keep working at it and try to recover your losses.

This are the golden rules which almost all the regular traders are knowing it, it is only the new traders have to  follow to become professional trader. i was several times dealing with this situations but for me it depend how many bitcoin i have invested in altcoins because if i only investing small amount of bitcoin then i would keep on waiting untill the price bounce back with the risk i will lost all of my bitcoin if those coin will became an dead coin but if i investing huge amount of bitcoin then i would be the part of panic selling and will sell those altcoins immediately before my losses more deep

Hi Guys,
Well come to forum site.We think the most important thing you need to learn to do is to always put stop loss in your trade, alot could go wrong in a short space of time. We learnt that with Synereo ICO that went from 33ksat to 4ksat, this is important to reduce the loss to barest minimum. Concerning loss it is part of the game just make sure you win more than you lose.

I know you won't read my reply here but for other newbies out there, they must understand that most coins on ICO have a sequence of hard pump that associated with hard dump. That is because there are numbers of big whales present that can wrecked the market since the coins are offered on cheap price prior it was placed on the market.

So don't ever be an enthusiast of holding new coins but instead go with their current flow. Most of the correction price of this coins are nearly around the price of their price bottom during the hard dump.

i can deal easy with it because i only invest i can afford to loose of course i would be angry but i knew from beginning that it is a game you can loose
people who think the only option is to win are not clear in mind and shouldnt risk any money. there is always a risk and people should know that.

I do deal by accepting them and thinking my way on how to recuperate the damage done by the wrong decision I made.  Aside from that I always make myself learned from my mistakes.  I also do not act without thinking since it would cost me more if I become too emotional and go on with my emotion.  I always make sure that I am in a rational state before making decision about that loses.

I agree that accepting and thinking about the wrong decisions or mistakes is a good move to deal with the loss and the most important is to make it as a lesson for your next trades because good decisions are came from experience and experience are came from the wrong decision so if you will always think that mistakes are just lessons in disguise then you will be able to control your emotion and trade better than before.

But thinking too much about a bad decision made while trading can get you in all sorts of trouble too. Trading is all about making lesser bad decisions and making the good ones in high number and hence making profits overall.

Being dejected with a certain loss is like you gamble and you get upset with a loss and too happy with a win, which should not at all happen in trading. You must feel that you always make right decision if the decision does not pays off move on to the next more carefully.

i think most of the people cannot bare lost and they become disappointed,  i think very few people have the quality to bare secure their position while trading, they  mostly lose hear and even stop trading anymore.

Usually when I invest in any altoin I make in my mind that if a certain price is reached like I bought for 100 satoshi then if the value drops to 30 satoshi or less then surely the coin is just gonna get dumped and hence I sell all the coins I bought. This saves some bitcoins though if the coin climbs back again it teases like nothing else. So there is a risk, there is a reward too.

This question do really have different answers since people do really differ on how they gonna manage themselves in times of lose like what you mentioned.There are people would able to sell off to cut its loses and some just let it on and just waitt for periods of time and just hoping for the alt to pump up again but when i do speak my part i would rather move on and just seek another investment without thinking too much on past failures but its not bad to always keep an update on the alt you have invested.
