Dude just give us the btc address you mine with.

http://pool.ckpool.org/#/miners

17   16yLHLoeyuCLPMXkVpC3gyrRYvwRGwjKJr   9.02TH/s   9.13TH/s   12.8TH/s   1   23,064,032,585   13754547806   100%   89,170,781,916     0.02368093

If you show your gear mining on the pool we can figure if there is an issue.

My husband is philipma1957 he asked me to look at the photos as he is tired this morning.
They prove exactly what philip explained a few posts ago.

this photo shows  the miner in question  4 hours turned off.
note  derp is 0.00010416
note shares are 138,135,640

so  next photo the miner in question is 9 hours turned off.
note derp dropped from 0.00010416  to 0.00010249

also note your average hashrate dropped it was 199g daily and became 158g

note shares are 138,135,640  so while you shares stay the same.  the rest of us are working  so  that drops you derp.  do you expect that your derp should freeze in place and you keep it.

While we are mining away with our gear?

If you believe you are correct you need to pick a different pool.

BTW  you belong at solo.ckpool.org  not here.

Most likely you will not believe us.  Which is your loss my friend.

1956jUdYPFwiBSzt9AECdWj3KE4WV7taiM I can't do 1957philma.. for btc address the i are not allowed This is a secondary account for Philipma1957, don't do business with this account deal with philipma1957

Hello, I hope you understand me now.
This is my work plan:
https://start-zone.net:8443/files/Planing.jpg
The reason is the price of electricity

This is my state this morning in flat work
https://start-zone.net:8443/files/IMG_20200405_102235.jpg
It is practically my state of yesterday

This is my status after my work
https://start-zone.net:8443/files/IMG_20200405_153454.jpg
It was 3 in the afternoon

This is my state today, before I start mining
https://start-zone.net:8443/files/IMG_20200405_221558.jpg

Observe this approach:
https://start-zone.net:8443/files/IMG_20200405_225011.jpg

If this morning I had 0.00010423 Derp (working) When I finish my work I get 0.00010929 (+0.00000506) Derp.
I stop 10 hours for what I have explained (electric rate), and before starting my work today (the work for tonight) and I see that my account has 0.00010342 Derp. (-0.00000081 than yesterday)
It means that not only have I lost all the benefits of the last night (yesterday), but I also have less Derp than when I started yesterday (0.00010423 - 0.00010342)

So tell me what is happening now that it did not happen before?

I have been mining for 4 months in ckpool and in no other, with the work planning that I have proposed, and this had not happened to me.

I am going to try to figure out the drop.  But  if a giant comes along and mines here with 10,000 x your miner it will lower you quickly.

I can think of no other reason then we must have had a big miner failover for an hour or two.

You seem to run 200gh to 400gh an s-1 or an s-3

My bigger farm has 2ph or about 2000th or about 2,000,000gh

This pool is running about 1ph or 1000 th to about 1,000,000gh

so if we are 200/1,000,000  when you run your gear and you power off  you should drop since you don't do your numbers 24 hours, but Maybe less then you did.

REMEMBER the entire network is monster big.

100eh  or 100,000ph this pool is 1ph  so if a bigger farm rollover to here and tosses 1eh for 4 hours  it is like our pool mining for 1000/6 = 166 days.

So while you are turned off  for 5-10 hours and some monster pool is here it kills your average and your derp drops.

keep you miner going don't stop for the next few hours.  I will rent a ton of hash and point it here.  You will go backwards due to my monster rental.  the whole pole will go backwards a bit.  this will take me an hour to setup.

I sent some funds to nicehash once they clear I will rent a ton of hash and everyone will roll backwards the then my one address

14   16yLHLoeyuCLPMXkVpC3gyrRYvwRGwjKJr   9.05TH/s   9.13TH/s   12.6TH/s

this will soon be at 5ph  giving me about 5/6 of this whole pool.  everyone else will go backwards unless they add a ton of hash.

@philipma1957: I merit you as soon as I own some. done, Thank you for the hard work you doing,
n.b. I am waiting for a new YT-video from you, I love them.

----
@Mrbytes:
You can boil it down to:  This is not a simple pay per share pool.
All variants have to be taken in consideration and it is not easy unless you are monitoring all variants constantly.
Plus you are stopping mining inbetween while all other miner does not stop mining and the over all poolhash change as well as the network diff. changes and so on.
In every other mining pool you will experince the same effect.

So I finally have three screen shots properly set up to show what happens to everyone when a big miner come here.

MrBYtes  is a 200gh or 400gh miner.  A small miner.

My 16yLHLoey....  address is 9th still pretty small

first photo is  is my large rental  just firing up

second photo shows how my large rental  affected even the biggest miners
a drop from 2.3940238 to 2.39267655  the true payment number dropped for everyone during this time period. and my hash rate does not show the rental yet.

third photo shows them start to recover as my rental is ending, I show 1.74ph which is already ended but not reflected in the hashrate stat.  it is reflected in the derp as derp is growing higher for miners.

When I did that rental is was for 10 ph  I spent 0.0055 btc on nicehash.

It does not last long as 10ph is very high rental and 0.0055 btc is very small amount to use.

But while it was active  I had  10/11 of the entire pool  which hurts everyones  derp (except mine) while it lasts.

This is the very reason 5n  came about it was to soften  a big miner coming to a pool and crushing everyone else.

Since the effect of a big miner is stretched over 5n average  vs 1n  the derp shift takes 5x longer to happen.

5n pools are great if hashrate on the pool is 1% of network and pool is making 1 or 2 blocks a day.

If I were Mrbytes I would point my 200 or 400gh at the solo pool  http://solo.ckpool.org/

we just had a guy win a block with a 400gh miner.

the pool is all or nothing.  which makes sense for him to do. rather then mine here

I have 1th on the solo pool  http://solo.ckpool.org/users/146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3
I have 9th here

I have 2ph on a different pool but this is a 4 way partnership I manage it and get 25% the other guys don't want to mine here .

Agreed.  I would argue anything under 1TH should be on the solo pool.  I have one device on the solo pool - an S7-LN running on low frequency.  Using 400 watts and averging 1.35 TH/s.

@philipma1957
Thk so much.

Well, more or less it has become clear to me what is happening, but as I said before, this is happening now, since I have been in the group for 4 months and before it had not happened to me, I have always received benefits, not losses, and as I have told you I only work mining at night 14 hours in a reduced cost electric rate, and not now, but always.

Best regards

P.S

What pool were you on before you joined this one 4 months ago? Probably it was a PPS pool.

Hi,

Have a couple of questions.

1) Graphs. Are these only updated while you are looking at the page? I shutdown my desktop last night and this morning when I looked at my stats, the graph was not updated all night. I think this is the case. Checked a few other miners and they had no graph at all. However my hash numbers were all on point, so just seems like a graph issue.

2) Is this PPS or PPLNS? It is labeled as score based pplns, but even after disconnecting from the pool for near 24 hours, come back and still have tons of shares. Or is all the math figured out when a block is found? It would seem that if people can disconnect for 24+ hours and still have active shares, it would drastically reduce the payout for active miners. Especially since the rounds are so long.

Thanks!

Or is all the math figured out when a block is found? It would seem that if people can disconnect for 24+ hours and still have active shares, it would drastically reduce the payout for active miners. Especially since the rounds are so long.

Thanks!
Graphs only work from your browser so shutting it down you'll lose the graphs.

This is score based PPLNS but the Last N Shares is 5x current difficulty which at the current pool's hashrate is about 5 years, so the rounds are insanely long thanks to the ultra low hashrate...

It is neither.
Perhaps reading the 1st post where how the pool operates is described would help? Wink

Geez, why even post? You added 0 to this thread. Of course I read that, it the exact same info on the front page of the site.

Its labeled as SPLNS.

Score per last number of shares. Avoid pool hopping. Well, if I can collect shares, disconnect for 24+ hours and still get a payout, I don't see how this stops pool hopping. After not mining for 24+ hours, my derp showed my estimate as around $5 worth of BTC. And before I disconnected from the pool I was at around $8 in BTC based of the derp score. I am sure even days later I would still have some derp.

That sounds really terrible and most likely why people are not joining this pool. If a block was found daily, sure. But extremely long rounds, now you end up having to split the reward with 100's of others that haven't mined in days.

I guess I will check my derp in another 24 hours and see.

But if someone can answer my question - Is this basically how it works? Or is derp re-calculated on block find? I think the code is available so can check myself, but figure easier to simply ask people that have been mining here for a while.

EDIT:
Ahhhhh, missed this line here -

Interleaved rewards - Each time a block is solved, the top 100 miners will receive a payout while 50 of the remaining smaller miners will receive a payout. Rewards will alternate between the smaller miners according to who has waited the longest for a payout. Rewards accumulate from blocks worked on even if miners are not scheduled for a payout with that block.

Now it makes sense Smiley

The top 100 miners get paid.

The lower 50 get paid too, but depending how low of a hashrate they have, they may need to wait 2 rounds. Back on the pool, lets see where I stand in 24 hours in the rankings,

What  you need to understand is the pool has 869 th   forget the ½ ing  forget difficulty adjustments  and  go with 5n  and 869th

869 x  0.00001662 =  0.01444278 btc   then 12.5/0.01444278 = 865  this is 1n  so 5n = 4325 days

so our current real time 5n is 4325 days  disregarding

the ½ ing
the difficulty
the fact that the pool may get more hash power
the fact that the pool may lose more hash power

but right now our 5n is 4325 days.  so shutting off for a day or two or three or four  means

the following

4324/4325 retention of earnings if you power off for a day
4323/4325 retention of earnings if you power off for 2 days
4322/4325 retention of earnings if you power off for 3 days
4321/4325 retention of earnings if you power off for 4 days

Now of course  just to fuck with your head I or anyone else can rent 10ph or 20ph from nicehash point it here for a day and  that 869th hashrate I based all the calculations on will get distorted.

I used the following constants of

869 th
0.00001662 btc a th daily earnings.
12.5 coin reward

to get a 4325 day 5n

Reality is all of those constants can and will change
