After this contract extension with Neymar, I started wondering also whether Mbappe will leave this summer. We have already known for a long time that Mbappe wants to go to Real Madrid. This could be a nice opportunity for him as I don't think PSG will be able to meet his criteria for a contract extension.

He is not underrated, any big club would love to have him but Milan wanted insane amount of money for him and goalkeepers rarely get that kind of money, usually they are worth less than forward players in the transfer chart. So, I think with this contract ending, he will go to a team that will be better for him and he will be paid better and he will play for a better team as well. His lack of transfer requests wasn't because he was underrated, it was because the asking price was too much to begin with.

At the end of the day if he no longer is tied with Milan, that means any team would love to pay 20-30 million even because there will be no transfer fee, give him like 15-20 million for 3 years and that is good enough, after that you can either sell him if you can, and if not just offer him a lot less contract, and if he still says no then just let him go.

Isn't he the one paying that though? When they are discussing salaries, I think they talk in gross values - meaning the players have to pay any costs on their salaries by themselves.

I do think PSG tried to negotiate with Mbappe first, if they had to pick one of them to stay it is way more logical to keep him. But he said he wanted to go and PSG will probably get around 150 mil for him. Maybe they will try for Haaland as well?

Manchester City could be another very good option, Aguero is leaving, from the looks of things Jesus could leave as well, there's no talks of Jesus leaving currently, but with his lack of game time, and loss of form, City could be looking for a 'perfect' striker come next season, and Harry Kane is everything they need.

The thing is, Kane will cost so so much, and since Pep could prolly win a treble this season without actually playing a recognized striker in most of the games, they may well not be willing to spend too much on a striker. They could seek another option, a much cheaper striker.

Raiola is going nuts these days. I can imagine how many bottles of Champagne he already drank without even having sold Haaland for the second time yet. With the next deal Raiola is likely add another $30 million to his net worth. This guy has so many brilliant players under his vest and more are to come as they all know he is the guy to go to when you want to strike the best deals financially.
