I just think Lionel Messi won't dare to go to another league because what he is afraid of is the dimming of his career.

Being loyal to a one club does not mean one is afraid of failing, we've seen many one club players in the past who also got great offers from different leagues but all of the choose to stay back and retired, Measi has more goals against English top 6 clubs than any other players outside the league. If messi has chosen to stay with Bacelona the rest of his life despair the eye watering offers from PSG and Mancity then he deserves to have a statue outside Camp noun for his loyalty... if Messi is seriously loyal to Barcelona, then it should not be a problem for him to reduce his salary. He has already earned huge money there, also he is not in the best years of his career.

I believe a lot of top players already are accepting that this is the case for everyone and I believe Messi will make the sacrifices,,, god knows he has already sacrificed a lot in the past, money is not everything for this guy. I don't think so, a couple of years ago City or PSG could prolly have gone all out to sign Messi notwithstanding his wages, but right now, considering Messi's age, I don't think they'd be willing to pay wages that are too high for him. Messi has also turned down offers from this clubs in the past, thus this could also have made them lose interest in him, Messi is best suited in Barcelona, and if he wanted to leave, he should have done that seasons ago, since he has stayed in Camp Nou till this time, it's much better if he just finishes his career there, or move to a lower league when he's above 35.

Let's be honest he is not going to change a team so much that suddenly that team which was nothing will become a UCL champion, if he could have done it he would have done it for Barcelona, dude is just way too old to carry a whole team all by himself. Plus he played for Barcelona for 20 years now (and more considering his youth team years), why would he leave and why would you want to see him leave? If it was to get him to your own team, you are going to have to pay INSANE amount of money for a player who will not change your team that much, I wouldn't want him on my team at all (not like my team could afford him even if they wanted to) so it is a weird situation.

This looks like the way forward more and more for the modern approach. Clubs sharing players, it used to be just sharing salaries,,, and getting bonuses was the next move for performance, and now cuts of player sales I guess this is the most pragmatic way forward for costs. Maybe one day we even see players sharing performance bonus with sponsors;)
