It's very difficult to determine who the world's best players will be after the messi and ronaldo era ends for now in my opinion, and actually there are some players who are currently very prominent in football, but still these players seem to be covered by the dominance of these two players, let's say like Virgil van Dijk who even last year finished second in the Ballon d'Or voting and of course this shows that if Virgil van Dijk has a greater chance of overturning the dominance of messi and ronaldo as the best player in the future and of course we also should taking into account one of the Dortmund players who are currently at their best, namely Erling Haaland, and in my opinion, if he continues to maintain his performance, it certainly does not rule out the possibility that he will become a great player in the future.

I believe it sort of did impacted their price. Not the way you think, the price is still high but there is no competition for them and that is what got impacted. Back in the day if pandemic didn't happen then we would have many teams fighting for these players, even at these prices, sure there are maybe 10 clubs in the whole world that can afford these players but at least 3 or 4 of them would have tried to do something, even if they would pay less than what is offered here, there would be offers all the same.

As a City fan myself, I somewhat agree.  I’d rather see Pep acquire some unknown, young, talented prospect than see them get all those good players from other EPL clubs.  It’s like the Sterling acquisition.  I hated it.

They blew it with Sancho.  They should’ve just let the guy rank up in the club.  He was obv talented and they saw that...  But still sold him to BVB.  Meh.

The plan is clear with the Superleague if it will happen the sheiks will be resized.

I am sure Messi won't go anywhere, he will renew his contract in Barcelona.
We already heard too many rumors about Messi leaving in the past but it never happens. As long as Barcelona management agrees with his salary, Messi will stay there. In my view, Messi will be a Barcelona player for 2 years more. He may consider leaving once he is 35 years old, in this age he may think to play 1 or 2 years again on another club before retiring. IMO

Borussia will probably accept anything higher than 100 mil. Euros, unless they are working on a new contract for Haaland that would include a different (much higher) release clause. Not really sure it's in Haaland's interest to sign that contract so a ~100 mil. Euro deal seems likely to me.

True enough,,, for Kane and Mbappe but they have both continued to perform at their peak if not even better, especially now at internationals also showing their worth (Kane not so much but his leadership at the offence shows). I do think Haaland's price went down a bit though?
