If Grealish is not an England player I'm kinda optimistic that Manchester City will bench him and go for Messi also and probably give him another Jersey number, I'm very sure Pep will be happy to see Mess play for  him once again but, Messi to city cannot be possible, England are trying to blend Kane, Grealish and sterling  together

I honestly believe that Messi+Kane+Grealish could have been done, at least for City, the trouble here is not about Messi, it is about Kane. Why I think they can't get Kane? Because they already spent 100 million already, do you really think that he can afford another potentially 100 million transfer? That doesn't sound possible at all, it sounds like way too much money to spend in just one season.

I honestly expect them to get another free player or a cheap player btu that's about it. Jack+Messi would have been easy because Messi is free agent at the current moment and City only has to spend money on salary and that's it. PSG has currently 35 players without counting Messi, comparing to 28 for Real Madrid, 27 for Barcelona, 26 for Bayern/Juve and 25 for City.
Regarding the average number of players and the recent signing, I find it logical that they have to reduce the number/cost of unnecessary players. Obviously Messi salary is another reason to let some players go regardless of how wealthy the team is.
