At according to reports,arsenal is ready to meet up their demand and pay their sum required from Barcelona.

If Arsenal can secure the signing of Phillips Coutinho,I will be much  happy and grateful.

Arsenal has Odeegard , why do they need Phillipe Coutinho? Also there is Smith-Rowe who can also play in centre midfield so not sure if Coutinho is what Arsenal needs right now. There are lot of players in midfield for Arsenal so anything that is linking a midfielder to Arsenal seems quite hard to believe.

Besides Coutinho is 29 and Arteta is building a team for the future so that's one also why I think Coutinho is not in Arteta's plans.

Right now, I think what we need a midfielder to pattern with partey and  striker. Arsenal can not sign philipe because we have our new NO#10 ôdegaard who is performing excellent  in recent games . The only signing we need is getting renato and dejan kuluzski .About dusan vlahovic am not happy on spending alot of money on him. Arsenal should wait the summer transfer to boost the squad not January its very difficult to get the good players

I think Arsenal want to sign Coutinho as a back up for ôdegaard, I am sure Arteta wouldn't toy with the winning team, in case of any injury to any key midfield player, he will be a perfect replacement else Coutinho coming to sign Arsenal wouldn't guarantee him a regular shirt and I am sure he will weigh his option before signing the contract once he is not sure of first team shirt I think he will back out from the contract, as it is now Smith Rowe and ôdegaard are in-form now and very consistent I don't think any incoming player can displace them from the team.

They still have Smith Rowe and right now Arteta already is having difficulty giving them regular play time so why add another player to that list and make that worse? Also Coutinho is a big name (well not that big name) but still some player so I really don't think midfielder is what they need.

Yeah they do need a striker and Vlahovic really could be a great signing.

Arsenal seems to have a lot of players who play as midfielders in their squad, and I think the arrival of coutinho will certainly make the competition very tight and even trigger the desire of other players to move to the other club, it's not wrong to bring coutinho to strengthen arsenal this season, but I think that it is better for Arsenal to bring in defenders and players who can play as strikers at the moment, but it seems Arteta knows what he is doing for Arsenal and let's see if the arrival of coutinho will be able to make Arsenal even better in the future.

I believe the simple answer is Arteta wants to balance youth with experience, and let’s not forget that Coutinho knows premier league very well, and therefore he’ll gel in well with the Arsenal squad.

Also having more competition is always good as it’ll act as a motivation for other player’s to step up and keep him out of the starting 11, hence if Arteta gets this deal then it’ll definitely help Arsenal for this season.

Coutinho is still 29 so i think he has at least 4 or 5 years where he can perform on the highest level if he does not suffer from heavy injuries. I can definitely understand that those english clubs are trying to sign Coutinho, when he played for Liverpool he was one of the best midfielders in the world at that time and therefore Barca payed a huge amount of money (135 M €) back in 2018 to sign him. Sadly he never really managed to reach his best performance in Barca because of different reasons, but he proved that he is still capable of playing extremely well while he was at Bayern Munich for a year where he had great last few months. I think in England he can reach his peak again.

Where do you know this issue? I am not sure Morata easily accepts an offer from Barcelona. He was a Real Madrid player, he should consider any risks for his career if he decides to play in Barcelona. Anyway, Real Madrid probably wants to sign Morata as an alternative option if they fail to sign Mbappe or Haaland. If it happens, Barcelona will have a serious competitor to get Morata, and seems Real Madrid to have more power.

Because they could be played in a bit of a different positions. You could use Coutinho at the left wing, whereas you could play Smith Rowe behind the striker. Smith Rowe is a great player if you ask me, you could play him anywhere you want, but this is more like "we need a new winger back up" situation.

Plus, teams are having hard time with the covid protocol right now, with more and more players getting it, I am assuming that the team with the deepest bench would be at big advantage. Sure it would require to spend millions to be there, but some teams just have that kind of money I suppose. Doesn't mean that they will do it, it is just a gossip and as with everything in football, gossip usually doesn't turn out to be true.

What Barcelona can do now is signing a free transfer player. They have not enough money to sign long-term players such as Haaland, Mbappe, or other young top strikers. I think it is not really bad idea to try signing Morata, but it won't be easy for Barcelona. Barcelona must think about Morata's salary, if it is quite big, it will potentially cause another problem in their finance. As a top striker, Morata should ask for a high salary.
