It seems to me that with age, Ronaldo will rather move not to the position of a winger (speed is critical there), but rather to the position of a playmaker/under the striker. He has a great vision of the field and he can manage the team's game in attack plus in this position he will remain dangerous for the opponent's goalkeeper without spending as much effort as the one who is on the cutting edge.

I think it's a backup player signing. With Leno not finding enough minutes , it is very likely that he is gonna leave Arsenal and according to last tweet of Romano regarding this Leno will leave in summer. Why does Manchester United wants to get involve in this deal. They have about 2-3 wingers and they have not been able to bring out the best in them since the begging of this season. They should reinforce other departments. I totally agree with you. They have so many wingers that players like Anthony Martial is sent on loan just because he's not given the minutes. This season they bought Sancho who is not performing to his level. What United needs now is a central or defensive midfield rather than a winger. Feran Torres and Adama do not play as a lone striker; Adama can play as a LW or RW, while Feran Torres can only play RW, LW, and SS. They needed someone to back up Braithwaite, who is currently the club's only CF.
