I think there is a huge difference between the fact that Ronaldo will leave Manchester United and Ronaldo has asked the Manchester United management not to cause obstacles if a decent transfer to the club arrives. Therefore, it is not necessary to declare Ronaldo's departure as a fait accompli and there are still a lot of obstacles and reasons why this may not happen. Also, as far as I know, Ronaldo told the club's management that he still has a few years of his career left and therefore he would like to spend them participating in the Champions League, so based on this, it is probably possible to dismiss the option with Roma.

Not also last season, this has been going on much longer. The last title was Europa League winner in 16/17. After that, we reached the final in 20/21, but lost. So Manchester hasn't won a title in the last 5 years. So it's many seasons that have been bad and they should definitely change something if they want to win titles again.
